Hi there! I literally love your work so much! I love how you don't necessarily focus on the readers looks and more on the plot as well as in some of your moodboards I can tell you are trying to be more diverse regarding body types and skin tones.

But I'd like to ask for your advice. Writers/creators like @dustbunniess and @sinsandsweetness always base their work around the reader being a skinny white girl. (No hate to them lol)

I am not a skinny white girl and I find it quite difficult to really insert myself since I don't have a thigh gap, perky breasts that bounce etc etc.

Advice?

i am not a 'skinny white girl' either but the term 'plus sized' and 'skinny' is extremely subjective. i know that e has a disclaimer about her moodboards here. where she thoroughly explains how the apps in which she sources the images tend to only promote women who fit into the beauty standard and she tries her best to tend to the aesthetic, body type and skin tone (if specified.)

tumblr is a very large app with all types of people on here and it's impossible to cater to every single body type, aesthetic and skin tone. unfortunately, this is something out of t and e's control.

i know as a writer it's difficult to be diverse since i subconsciously insert myself as the reader. however, i do try my best. t is an amazing writer and i know that she also tries to be as diverse as possible and her writing shows it.

however no one is perfect, everyone is different but one thing that remains is that all bodies and skin tones are beautiful. part of being a reader is also self insert, so sometimes all you need to do is imagine. that's what i do <3
