ღ: my muse's reaction to yours taking a bullet for them
Warm blood gushed wetting the duelist’s face. Momentarily stunned by the unexpected shielding, the former tyrant barely had time to hold his counter part on his arms as Judai fell. It didn’t seemed to had hit any vital spot, but the blood loss wasn’t something to take lightly. Unconsciously pressing his hand against the wound to stop the bleeding, Haou asked
" Why?! Why are you doing this?"
Anybody else would rather letting their evil doppelganger die, but not the Osiris duelist. The question just came out instinctively, as he knew the answer himself: they were one and the same, and none of them would let somebody else getting shot. Specially Judai. The red-clad duelist just smiled back, seeing the determination in Haou’s eyes. Deep down he too knew the dark king wasn’t the one who he once was.

Once again Haou was all alone . At least at school.
Having skipping most of a school year, he was held back for a entire semester as everybody else had graduated. His brother left without saying goodbye - just like he did before but under different circumstances. It was just like Judai : he would rather say ‘see you soon’ or just leave. To say ‘good bye’ felt so…Definitive. Like the end of a book , without any more surprises or anything to offer, the tale must end. And even if there is a sequel, it wouldn’t be the same but begin anew. So no goodbyes. Specially not among the twins.
Acquiring the habit of turning on the TV on the news channel whenever he decided to take a short nap - the humming of the repeated news over and over in a rather unemotional and boring tone had the mysterious power to manage to lulling him to sleep - Haou felt Mimi sleeping on his side. The soft fur, the rhythmic breathing of this loving creature was also so inviting, so calming…
Yes, it was a perfect night
Something clicked on his brain as a jolt went through his body, like a high voltage shock making him convulsing forward and falling on the ground.
The wet rough touch of Mimi’s licking him on the face helped Haou regaining conscious. Haou was completely dazzled and his ears were rigging but he could hear his dog’s desperate barking. Sitting up, he moved an arm around Mimi’s body to help himself to get steadier as he tried to clear his mind. A sour taste in his mouth and it was like all his other senses were going haywire.
But yet something caught his attention, it was the sound of his mobile phone. Trying to focus, the first thing he saw was the news: a private jet belonging to Industrial Illusions crashed in Europe
That moment he was completely alone
