“I see you and Autumn are wearing matching outfits. I never thought you’d be the type.” Unable to help herself, Ember pursed her lips to try and fight her grin as she nodded to her brothers girlfriend. “It’s so adorable. I should have made Harry and Avi do that with me.” Rubbing her lips together, she waited to see if he’d catch it. They hadn’t really talked about it yet, and she had to admit she was nervous how it was going to go. Relationships like that didn’t happen where they came from.

After what felt like she’d been looking forever, Autumn finally spotted the curly haired brunette from across the crowd, lifting a hand to give him a little wave before starting over to him. “So this is what you’re doing instead of fixing my car, huh?” With a smirk she let her fingers trail featherlight down his arm. “Enjoying yourself, Mister Southern Charm? What do you think of our town? Not bad, huh? Would you believe me if I told you that I was homecoming queen my Sophmore year and my senior year?”

“I think we look so cute!” Having bought them matching plaid shirts, Autumn had paired her with a pair of jean cut off shorts in the same wash as his own, and her very own pair of cowboy boots, which she’d used to match the colour of Timbaland’s she’d bought for August. They looked like quite the couple, though she could tell that he wasn’t exactly sure about any of it. “Look, even the fans think we’re adorable.” Turning her phone to him, she showed him the millions of likes on the picture she’d taken of their harvest fest outfits. “I mean it’s practically what you wear all the time anyway, so like... why does me matchin’ make you make that face?”

“Oggy!” Bouncing toward her brother with her curly ponytail and the cheerleading outfit she’d found at the thrift store, her entire face was split in two, lift the red and white striped on the apples high. “I knew you’d be here, there ain’t never gunna be no homecomin’ we don’t go to.” Glancing around him her brows went up as she turned a cheeky little smirk on him. “You here with a date?” By the sounds of the podcast her brother was a hit.

“Oggy! Look at the puppy in a sweater he’s so cuuuuuute! I just wanna squish his little face!” Absolutely loving every moment, Ember had all but ambushed her brother when she’d spotted him and Autumn, leaping up onto his back for an unsolicited piggy back ride/hug. ‘Ain’t this great? We thought Harvest was a good time in Brantley but this is somethin’ else! I got me ‘nough apples’ta make a pie for every household in town, I swear’ta god. I even got me a pie in the contest already, it’s my pumpkin pecan, and you know how good they are. I’m so glad you’re feelin’ better, Big Brother.”
