But after nearly two years of applying and applying for jobs, and getting contacted by recruiters who make it sound as if the opportunity they’re presenting will be perfect for me and that I should have no problem getting it, ONLY to ghost me afterwards – causes me to get very cynical…

Daily Comic Journal: January 21, 2022: "Rejected Again."

After I graduated art school in 1981 I attempted several comic strips that I wrote, drew and submitted to syndicates. They were all rejected. While working days as a package designer at Hasbro in the 80’s and as an Illustrator at Hallmark in the 90’s I would work on comic strip ideas at night and on weekends and submit them to syndicates. I’m no fool. I realize if this contact at GoComics actually liked my work when she received it on September she would have gotten back to me WAAAAAY before today, so I’m not expecting any positive news when she finally gets back to me. That is, if she even bothers.
