March 14th has come again, so here is another E.M.U post! This time it's a double-feature with the E.M.U Tour Making Special and Another Side of E.M.U.
E.M.U Tour Making Special shows the behind the scenes workings of the group, footage of their various concerts, and a music video for their song "PhantoM". Another Side of E.M.U, considered a sequel to it, also shows behind the scenes footage, but is set to the E.M.U Remix CD tracks.
Slight warning: Another Side of E.M.U tends to go a bit crazy with the video effects in some scenes. So make sure to watch in a well-lit room and not too close to the screen. While nothing really dangerous, it can make your eyes hurt at times XD.

Note: There are still a couple of E.M.U things I need but can't seem to find copies of, the biggest one being the VHS release of their final show. Until I'm able to find it, this will be my last E.M.U post for a while. However, there will be another Summer Spinoff Special post that will be coming up. So stay tuned!
Cover of the VHS version of "MVP - E.M.U Music Video", Bandai Visual, May 1996. Scanned from my personal collection.
E.M.U is a fictional band in the media mix franchise "Graduation M" (Sotsugyou M) which itself was a spin off the mid 1990s bishoujo training simulation game franchise "Graduation".
As you can see from the artwork, "Graduation M" was aimed squarely at a teen to young adult female audience and spawned two sperate manga series, a series of light novels and of course a game. In addition a male idol until consisting of the five voice actors was formed called E.M.U; Entertainment Music Unit. During the group's short five year life, they released four singles, three studio albums, a solo single for each member, a live album and several compilation albums. In addition radio shows and photobooks were also created.
"Graduation M" also spawned a one off original video animation titled "Graduation M ~Our Carnival~", released in January 1999. However this wasn't the first "Graduation M" anime. This eight track music video compilation was released two and half years prior. Spinning off from this franchise was a phantom thief type story called "GIZOKU", which was primarily told via a light novel series and several mooks which included a manga. In addition, another male idol unit comprising of another five voice actors named G.I.zoku was formed. They released several drama CDs in the early 2000s.
It's March 14, which means it's that time of year again: E.M.U Posting Day!!
So here is the home video release of one of E.M.U's concerts from their Equal Live Tour, which was held at the Nippon Seinenkan Convention Center on January 15th, 1997.
You can download the concert HERE.

Also, please look forward to the very first "Summer Spinoff Special" post that has a connection to this franchise that I'll post... well, this summer XD.
It's that time of year again... MARCH 14th! Which means it's time for another E.M.U / Sotsugyou M post!
So here is the E.M.U - MVP promo video. It's basically a 30 minute compilation video showing some behind the scenes footage of band rehearsal and photoshoots with the voice actors as E.M.U, with some pics of their Sotsugyou M character counterparts talking about their likes and dislikes, along with 2 cheaply animated music videos... Dang, I miss the 90s XD. This VHS also came with a small character bio booklet, which I've also scanned.
You can download it all HERE.
If you want to download all of the past E.M.U / Sotsugyou M stuff that I've posted so far, which includes all of their songs and their first live concert, you can find all of my posts concerning them HERE.
It’s March 14h, which means it’s that time of year again where I give an E.M.U / Sotsugyou M gift!
Last year, I posted the last of the CD album releases. So this year, I decided to post up E.M.U’s First Live, which was held at the Akasaka Blitz on May 19th 1996.
You can download the concert HERE!
At first I was a bit worried since a lot of Windows 10 updates during the past couple of years rendered a lot of video capture cards obsolete, including both of mine. Luckily my brother came to the rescue and let me borrow his X3. Please excuse the video and audio quality in some parts. Most of E.M.U’s videos were only released on VHS and Laser Disc, which I don’t have the latter, and I’m not talented enough to even attempt to upscale VHS footage XD. However, for a tape that’s almost 30 years old, it was actually in pretty great shape. Whoever sold it took really good care of it.
Sorry, this took longer than I thought it would. There was just so much stuff in this particular CD set XD.
After 6 years, here is the last batch of E.M.U songs. This is the Memorial Box Collection, which consists of E.M.U’s previous CDs and some unreleased stuff. While most of these songs have been posted already, there are 12 new ones that were either released only on single CDs or were only sung in concerts but got a studio version exclusive to this boxset. This download includes all 5 discs, along with romanized lyrics to any new songs, and scans of the front and back cover of the box and the covers of each disc.
Note: This box only has songs that are credited to E.M.U. They don’t contain songs from their fictional character counterparts, Sotsugyou M. Also, while this came with a photo booklet, it was too thick for me to scan properly. I’m currently looking for an extra copy so that I can scan it sometime in the future.
You can download the full Box HERE.
Even though this is the last of the E.M.U / Sotsugyou M music uploads, we are not done with them yet. There are still concerts and specials that I have yet to convert into a digital format. So I hope you all look forward to seeing those in the future X3.

It’s White Day (March 14th) again and you all know what that means! Even more cheesy 90s J-Pop songs from Sotsugyou M / E.M.U.!!! This time around, I’m posting the songs that were released in their “Graduation M Character Special” CD set. These were comprised of 6 mini CD discs, each with both a song and audio drama track done by each character (with the last one being a group song and drama).
I’ve also included a download of the mini CD disc release of the Sotsugyou M / E.M.U. release of “Yume no Tsuzuki wo Sagashite” and “Oretachi no Sotsugyou”, with the latter being slightly different than the version that was on the “Our Graduation” album. I also fixed the mistakes in the romanized lyrics for the former since whoever did those back then misread a lot of the kanji XD. You can download the tracks HERE.
This download includes 8 songs, 6 audio dramas, the scans for the front and back covers, along with lyric pages and a Notepad file with romanized lyrics for all of the songs.
Here are the list of CDs, with character and VA, and track lists:

For those who missed the posts for the others CDs I’ve put up, you can find them here:
