@e1ght8all drew the lovers
"can't you just admit that we're good together?" all this back and forth really wasn't billie's style. and she could hold a grudge when nursing a broken heart. perhaps it was because she was never truly the one on the receiving end of a breakup. both of her husband's deaths had been her doing, and her divorce from her ex-wife had been amicable for their son. the thing with jules was new but there was a growing sense of fondness from billie. some might call it obsession but she called it love. whether jules was at the same spot as her was up for debate and billie didn't want to push. "we have fun together at least." she said, "at the very least you could admit that."

eleanor is adjusting to their little life. they had been cooped up in their house long enough that it felt normal to nell. there were paint samples strewn about the home and she had decided that nesting was the proper way to handle this crisis. it kept her mind busy, and for that, she was eternally grateful. being in such close proximity to jules should have been joyful, but all she could feel was the stagnant weight of stress in the air.
soft hands cup jules face, pressing a kiss to their cheek, a thumbprint of blue seemed to stain the other. "we have a couple of options. i was thinking this yellow accent for the kitchen though, and maybe the blue in the dining room." head tilted to make sure the vision was aligned before she turned the smile toward jules. paint, in the grand scheme of things, was a small gesture. but it was everything nell wanted to say ; i'm here. i'm staying. i won't go even if you ask me to because we are in this together. turning their house into a home was the only way she knew how to do it.
@e1ght8all asked : are you out of your fucking mind?

AS A MAN WHO SPENTS HIS time among the dark underbelly of one of the poorest cities in the world, there are few sensations or experiences that are truly foreign to Thomas Shelby. &, yet, at the moment of the other's question, he finds himself gazing upon the stranger with an expression of pure confusion. Layers of it. The first, obviously, is the question itself. The next is the unfamiliarity of the sensation of being confused. Then, finally, beneath it all, a cold, dark pool of shame at the prospect of being thrown off his guard.
Thomas stares the man down, keeping his thumb on the hammer of his gun. He keeps it pointed at the other. The smoke from the cigarette in his mouth wafts slowly upwards, concealing one side of his face in ghostly fog.
"Maybe," he relents. "Would I know, if I truly was ? "

there's the tell-tale sting of a bruise under her eye, a dull ache causing her to press a tongue to the inside of her cheek. she's not a punching bag by any means-- it's just how things happen sometimes. sadie's fingers itch for a cigarette. instead, she folds her hands together, thumbnail digging at the cuticle of the other. ache offsets ache. dark eyes look up at jules, her jaw setting.
" -- then that means i can't trust your advice. " a smile, though it's faint. is the joke bad? possibly. " who's to say that's not how i've been living so far? " her eyes sparkle. she's been lying forever-- it's hard for her to pull the truth from the lies. she feels safer that way.
thing is, twoey has been awfully NOISY about eating ever since it got a better taste of ... human flesh. it wants more and is settling less and less for seymour's scarred up fingertips ; it wants meat now, too, not just blood. and it has raised the name of the very person seymour is already expecting to see tonight. YOU DON'T WANNA DEAL WITH THAT DEBT COLLECTOR ANYMORE, SEYMOUR! and he doesn't, he really really doesn't, but seymour's not dumb enough to try and bump off someone who only beat mr. mushnik into bedrest when they could'a killed him for the money he owes. well. the money seymour owes, now that he's taken over the shop while audrey ii keeps raking in money and mr. mushnik recovers from the injuries.
that doesn't stop twoey from bringing it up, though. loudly. repeatedly. it's why seymour is sitting on the stoop of the closed up flower shop with a paper bag tucked under one arm. he tries not to let himself think of bringing one to the dentists office with it, the gun he didn't have to use to kill orin scrivello, dds, hidden away inside. now it's just money. just. a nervous, bandaged hand adjusts his glasses and seymour peers down the street and startles when he spots the semi-familiar form of the debt collector turn the corner. he stands up too fast and stumbles a bit, woozy - - - twoey does still take the drip-fed blood from his fingertips and the plant seems to find the way it leaves seymour off balance funny, which isn't great. none of this is great, though. what's new. "i, uh - i've got it - here," the paper bag is thrust out soon as they're within reaching distance and seymour keeps the other hand braced against the door so he doesn't do something dumb like take a headfirst tumble off the stoop, "it - it should be enough." @e1ght8all

𝙀𝙇𝙀𝘼𝙉𝙊𝙍 𝙇𝙄𝙆𝙀𝘿 𝘽𝙀𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝘼𝙇𝙊𝙉𝙀. there was peace in the stillness of the house. or at least she used to think so. she is bent over the counter trying to get a stain out of the countertop. ever since they had moved there was a sense of dread that filled nell. the quiet, which has been a solace to her, had turned taunting almost. when the door opens she doesn't look up. there's only one person who it could be. "why do you let me stay here? all by myself." it's not meant as a question, but an accusation. eleanor heaved a sigh, forcing herself to stop. she leaned against the counter before unconsciously hoisting herself to sit on top of it. "i'm just sitting on the shelf." she jokes. confrontation is a word that's always heavy on her tongue.

❛ well how the hell 'm i supposed to if you won't come out and tell me? ❜ eliot demands, irritated. there's a lot he can take–– eliot spencer can survive being beaten and bruised and knocked on his ass–– but he doesn't like it when people hold out on him. he's sure kai–– no, they're julian, now–– is in a hell of a lot of trouble, but he's no good to them if he doesn't know what's going on. it rubs him the wrong way, being brushed off without full knowledge of the situation. used to be that didn't matter so much. eliot had been good at keeping his head down, following orders, never asking too many questions. but things have changed now, and he'c come to loathe being out of the loop. especially when julian is getting frustrated with him over it.
