Getting the word out

So right now i have 3 fundraisers going on, and I would like to share them with you. If you are able to donate, cool. If not, no big deal, but if you could share it, that would be cool.

First up: Act F.A.S.T for Rob

This is a fundraiser that i did last year as well. I am raising funds that will go directly to the American Heart and Stroke Association. I am going to present Rob with the amount that was raised when i go to MinnCon in Aug.

I am going to be crocheting hats for the homeless and babies. This is less than a month away, and i only have 10% of my small goal. All funds will go directly to @randomactsorg

I am raising funds for a service dog for my son. I also have some products in mind to sell and all profits will be going straight into the fund to pay for the dog and the training.

Hey, all! I’m participating in Random Acts’ event E4K (Endure 4 Kindness) which takes place on April 1-2, 2017. For those who don’t know, Random Acts is a charity that enables people like you and me to reach out into the lives those around us and the world at large with acts of kindness, and E4K is one of their fundraisers where participants challenge themselves to do an activity for as long as they can whether it be skipping rope, running, biking, or crocheting scarves while collecting pledges. 

In previous years I’ve danced on a DDR machine for 8 hours crocheted for 12 hours straight. This year I decided to try my hand at doing something a wee bit on the artsy side. I’m going to fold origami angels! Those who donate $10 will receive one of the undecorated angels. Anyone who donates $20 or more will receive their choice of an undecorated angel or one that is decorated as Castiel. The remaining little guys will be hidden in public spaces for people to find.

Hello Everybody

This is my first time participating instead of donating for E4K. This year I will be crocheting as many green hats for Science as I can for the upcoming march on April 22. I will be crocheting these on Sunday April 2nd. Anyone who donates over $25 will be entered into a raffle for a random hat or baked goodie. Support Endure 4 Kindness 2017!!!

Only one more day until Endure4Kindness! Don’t worry if you still don’t have any plans — some of the best shenanigans fall into place at the last minute. Check out our idea generator, or get inspiration from some of our plans: 

IT manager Juliana is a technology genius, but she’s also a great artist. "I'm making animal doodles this year for E4K. In the past, I've typically chosen running as my E4K activity, but I decided to change things up this year and do something artsy. After all, E4K doesn't always have to be some sort of physical activity. To make the event more interactive, I'm going to accept requests from people to draw their favorite animal or their pet.” More details here. 

Development Manager Jennifer is writing kindness cards, and she’ll send one on your behalf if you donate. "I have so many cards, I want to use them to write Random Acts of Kindness cards! Thanks for your support - I look forward to you giving me writers cramp on April Fools weekend!” Donate here.
