[[ This is what Dwight will always look like in my blog like after the event that I had to cancel where he almost became a killer. In the end, he had to help himself to go back to who he was and decided to take more care of himself and less care of everyone else, except for Bill, Nea, Jake and Zeka. The scars on his body were caused by the spikes growing out of his skin, and the one on his nose because of the Trapper. I’ll write about that on AO3 soon.
If you’re a Dwight rp blog, don’t tag it as your muse.

“Kill me”. Dwight stared into the Trapper’s eyes, not moving from his spot. “Just kill me. There’s no point on trying to escape this place and both of us know it”. The trial had just began, and Dwight hadn’t wasted a second to go and find the killer so he could be sent back to the campfire. “Come on”
"Why are you still wearing your tie..? It's not very smart unless it's a flip on."
“Do you ever think before opening that big mouth of yours”. Maybe a too aggressive reaction to what Jake had said, but it was already known that Dwight didn’t take anything in the calm way anymore.
"...that's the only way to save them!". But they wouldn't listen. The other survivor that was with him didn't want to cooperate to save the third person, or to listen and get into a safe spot. No. It made something inside Dwight burn.
"If you don't want to hide... you might as well just run to them". With that said, Dwight stood up and yanked the other survivor; pushing them outside of their hiding spot and into a place where the killer saw them.
The chase began, and Dwight just stared at the other survivor getting hurt with a frown on his face. That was what they deserved.
He then turned around... and began walking away.
On The Downward Spiral: A Cold Light - Part 2
@notthebasement Continued from here: https://notthebasement.tumblr.com/post/168513227222/on-the-downward-spiral-a-cold-light ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Laurie tensed up as a shimmering light lit up the stairwell. It wasn’t a beacon, but it was just bright enough to put her on edge. She quietly moved herself towards the wide open window behind the stair railing… just in case.
‘Maybe a Flashlight? Everyone knows not to waste those…’ Laurie could still sense Dwight’s perk… his strong heart beating in unison with her own...but why would he- She paused. The wood of the stairs had ceased creaking... Whoever or whatever it was... it had stopped... Laurie could here sniveling; someone was crying as though in deep sorrow. Their voice cracking with hiccups...
Laurie stood, quietly making her way towards the mouth of the stairwell. There, sprawled in the center of the stairs, was a small, dark figure, burning with odd patches of glowing golden light... Laurie immediately recognized the way the shoulders shook in hitched cries, even without seeing his bespectacled face, or the dirt-smeared work attire. “...Dwight?” She repeated, her voice barely above a whisper, a small crack tinging it as she felt her heart break at the sight before her. He looked up, Laurie couldn’t contain the gasp of shock. His face... it was half-hidden behind the same bizarre light... the golden embers were singed into his features, what she could see of his face was tear streaked and reddened with anguish; the picture of absolute misery... and with it Laurie could see the hatred, the self-loathing. She immediately climbed down the stairwell towards her dear friend. As she approached, an odd sensation took precedent of his perk’s helpful nature… it was off-putting… roiling about in her stomach and behind her eyes.
Something was very, very wrong… he looked like he was maybe struggling to breathe… like he was in pain. “Dwight, wh-what is this stuff? Does it hurt? Are you okay?” Laurie scooted over awkwardly, bringing a hand up and gently placing it against Dwight’s shaking arm, trying to stay mindful of the bizarre light, before immediately drawing it back in surprise; the embers… they were freezing to the touch, not fire at all... her fingers tingled painfully, the harsh cold needling into her finger joints like frozen knives.
“Wh… what…” Laurie was at a loss, this was a trial. Time was of the essence; No pink auras or heartbeats just yet, however, it wasn’t wise to just stand around doing nothing… but Laurie was terrified, what could this strange gold, light-stuff be? It didn’t matter. What mattered was that Dwight was in pain... Just seeing him like this was making Laurie’s chest hurt.
“Dwight, please, tell me what’s wrong... what is this stuff? I want to help you...”

“God. Damn.” Jake watched from his almost completed generator as Dwight shoved that poor unsuspecting soul into the Killer’s arms, and Dwight’s complete lack of empathy and concern for them make Jake get a cold, foreboding feeling in his chest. He knows, of course, from reading’s Benedict’s journal that being a survivor does not mean you are safe from the corrupting influence of the Entity, and Jake just hopes that Dwight isn’t befalling that fate.
He finishes the generator he’s working on, Jake runs over to where Dwight is just stomping around a generator, looking at it with the greatest contempt he could muster. He pauses a few feet behind him, and then gets around him when he doesn’t look back, and is taken aback by the just dead look on his face. Jake has noticed that Dwight hasn’t his usual leader attitude lately, but this much worse.
“Well… you’ve changed.”
Dwight moved his head back when Jake appeared out of nowhere, staring at him with slight disgust on his face. Anger, disgust or pity. Those were the only feelings towards the other survivors he’d been having lately. “I wish it wasn’t me the one changing. But we have to adapt, right? We have to survive”.
“And I know my fastest way of survival” he said, pushing Jake out of his way with a hand. He’d spotted the generator he’d been doing in the distance, making his way to it. Two generators were ready so far, that meant that there were still hopes of survival for one of them. To Dwight, the rest of his team wasn’t deserving of that spot. Getting his hand into the generator, he yanked out a bunch of cables; making it burst he had to flinch backwards not to get hurt. “Come on, go away. Run around, go sabotage something. Or come back here”. Dwight was still holding the loose cables, staring into Jake’s eyes. “Do something”

Incapacitated in the open, Ria was left on the ground to bleed out, acting as bait for the survivors to try and attempt for rescue all the while the Killer can have easy targets. While crawling over to taller grass in a frail attempt to hide she witnessed something very unusual among one her companions.
Did he do what I think he just did??
Tilting the brim of her hat upwards and rubbing a good eye, she watched Dwight storm away from the fleeing survivor, completely floored by what the fuck just happened. Licking a bruised lip she continued to crawl away to a safer zone, using this bought time from a distracted killer and to signal over Dwight for some help.
He’d seen her, crawling on the floor, but he was considering whether he should approach her or not. He stopped, just staring at her from afar for a while, before deciding to actually do it.
Kneeling down next to her, Dwight stared in silence instead of helping her stand up. “...so, was it worth it?” he asked. “You know. Acting like the bait. What a hero, am I right?”. He couldn’t sound more sarcastic. “I wonder how many times I’ve told you all not to do that unless it really was necessary. But nah. Lets take the killer away from... no one. To entertain him. To leave everyone else working on generators with one less person from the beginning”
“Give me a good reason why I should help you”
