The Festival of Shadows has begun! Come and join the fun!

So teaser of the upcoming Festival of Shadows streams and why I'm planning on playing FFXIV first.

It's my feel good game, it's one I know I really like to play for long periods of time. The story is compelling, plus I think it's a good symbolic way to start the channel off right.

It should be obvious I do have other games I do plan to stream in the future as well. Including Monster Hunter Rise, Sonic Frontiers, try to continue One Piece World Seeker and then play One Piece Odyssey. It's just that FFXIV is one of my feel good games, it feels comfortable and it feels safe. I also love just creating new characters.

I will be starting the festivities on October 20th around 4PM Central time til 12AM. You'll get to see my new model and try your best to attack me with your weapons and spells, adventurers!

I will also be streaming on the 21st and on my birthday on the 22nd. Still deciding on the times.....but you'll know when I'm live if you keep an eye here!

The Shadow Lord's story.

In another land in another time, a man flees upon the back of a beast as quickly as the death that follows in his wake. These events have transpired before but with slight differences, sometimes the man is a women, sometimes its a both or neither, sometimes the beast is hoofed, sometimes it's scaly or feathery.

What drives this person so fervently you ask? Why they flee that which harvests souls. Birds of ivory white and beaks of silver. Sweet lies from their breasts pleading for you not to fear them. Fear them for they shall consume your soul for their masters gain.

Bugs from the deepest rot, their presence corrupts and puppeteers you and yours to commit great evils leaching away your essence. All so priests, traitorous false prophets can call the hellish birds to gather your soul and cleanse you.

The person flees for these monsters chase them, and they pass me. They always pass me. <Sword/Staff/Hammer/Axe> in hand. Each time my face was subtly different. Now no longer is my face human. What was once lauded as hero has long since become antagonist. He who once slew only demons now slaughter angels as well for I bear the horrible truth. That both serve the gods whims. That in the beginning I was a pawn of the greatest evil. The entertainer as the four, now three, gorged upon mortal souls.

When my eyes became open they tried, tried to corrupt me into their new Demon Lord. A husk for the Demons to use for their hives. The one that was tasked with my mutilation was prideful and believed I wouldn't be able to fight him. He was shocked when in my fury I created magic that even surpassed even their "greatest" blessing.

I destroyed and devoured him in cruel parody of what the gods themselves had done. Terikar the Taskmaster was dead and I was painfully reborn. The blood filled with a billion blessings and a billion curses. Each one changing me in subtle ways. No longer was my name able to contain my being and I hid my new one fearing that the gods would find it and use it to control me.

I became E, I became Eternal, I became the Shadow of the Light I once embodied. I BECAME E_TernalShadows!

The remaining three rightfully feared me, they couldn't contain me, and I proved I could kill them. So they did what they thought was the best course of action. They sent me to a far off realm. Hoping that I would either cease to be a problem for them, or I would be destroyed.

This realm though is filled with mana, with power. The kind of power that allows me to create pathways to other worlds to spread my influence. to protect these realities from their cruelty. The mortals however assume I am evil for I seek to spread. So I became the villain to their heroes, I let them attack cause if they can destroy me then they can destroy those three.

It is for that I continue.
