Eagerness is quick to fall in love and usually quick to fall out of it. He often mistakes intense attraction or affection for love, and gets himself burned out on individuals quickly, which is why his family thinks he is fickle and flighty and noncommittal. Finding someone he wants to stay with long term is rare. But when he does, he is a loyal and loving partner. 💖 How do they say ‘I love you’ without really saying it?
Eagerness’ love language is acts of service, so he would likely set aside time and cook a meal and have a romantic date with his partner, and then offer to give them a wonderful massage and spa treatment.
🌹 What is their idea of a perfect date?
Eagerness’ idea of a perfect date is one he hasn’t done before. He loves trying out new things, so any kind of date that offers up a new avenue for adventure is ideal.
💡 What made them realize their sexuality?
The Dalish, in my headcanon, have a very open and natural view of sexuality. So there was never any stigma or worry when he realized that oh, he was sexually attracted to people of all genders. It just happened over time, him finding himself drawn to people regardless.
👶 Do they want children?
He certainly wouldn’t mind having them. If his partner were to want children he could be very open and eager to be a dad, but it isn’t something that he has thought of as integral to him. Some people know they want to be parents and have children from the start, and are very adamant about wanting them. Eagerness isn’t one of those people, but he does love children and would be a very good dad and a very supportive one if he and his significant other decided to have them. He also has no problems with adopting, if he and his partner cannot have biological children.

Is Eagerness scared of anything? Hospitals. It’s the smell of them, mostly. The smell of the antiseptic, too clean, like they’re trying to erase all the sick and the death like it never happened. His grandma died in a hospital; she got very bad pneumonia when she was older and her body couldn’t handle it, and he remembers sitting in her room with her and listening to the sound of the monitor and smelling that disgusting hospital smell and to this day it makes him nauseous. He will do anything he can to keep from going into a hospital, and if he has to go in, he wants to get out as quickly as possible. He’d do it for a loved one, obviously, but he would be very subdued and quiet and a little shaky the longer they stayed.
Thoughts on skinny dipping? He’s done it before, and quite enjoys it. Nudity isn’t a super big thing in the clan, so they’ve all gone swimming naked together quite often.
Does he collect anything? I think at the most he wouldn’t have a collection of extremely random objects that he thought were interesting. Nothing specific, just a “I saw this and took it home” kind of thing.
Div draws something, it’s terrible, what does he say? “We’re drawing? I wanna try!” *proceeds to draw terrible stick figures* Eagerness’ strength is not in drawing. XD
Favorite way to relax? Curling up to snuggle after a nice workout.
Sun or rain? Sun! The rain always made exploring as a child a little more difficult, and it’s a nuisance for his morning jogs. He likes the sound of it though, at night, it makes him feel like he’s back on the reservation in his family’s aravel. But he likes his days to be sunny.
Thoughts on fresh flowers in his own and/or Div’s hair? Adorable! Flowers in Div’s hair? That is wonderful, he’s going to take a million pictures. The same goes for if he has flowers in his own. The trick with Eagerness is that his hair and hairstyles are very important to him, because it is one of his ways of expression his Dalish heritage. So he tends to not let other people touch his hair unless he’s very comfortable with them. So Div could totally braid his hair and put flowers all over him and he’d be fine, but he wouldn’t let just anyone do it. And he’d probably teach Div certain specific braiding patterns that his clan uses, because he likes sharing that knowledge.
Would he come with Div to support Vara at competitions with the rest of the family? Sure! He might not go to all of them, because of his job, but he’d have no reason not to go if he had the time to do so. Besides, Adventure has married Lasair by this point, so his cousin is probably there too with the rest of Vara’s clan.
Initial thoughts on each of Div’s family members, black female mabari included? Alrighty. Ela: Dalish! The Dalish can recognize a fellow Dalish or former Dalish a mile away. He’d instantly feel more at ease with her than the others, initially. Cullen: nice guy, a little awkward sometimes but that’s pretty charming, though he’ll be initially wary of the Templar past. The Templars and the Chantry have never been very kind to the Dalish, so he’s always a bit on guard there. But it wouldn’t take much for him to warm up to him. Mirlen: fun! he probably feels like he’s known her for years, both because they both like hiking and outdoor stuff but also because Div probably talks about her ALL THE TIME so he knows everything about her by now. The mabari: dogs are great, come dog, Eagerness wants to pet you. Eagerness understands smart animals. The halla are also smarter than most creatures, so he’ll definitely have no problem with the idea that mabari can understand human speech.
Showers: just for washing or more? Showers are great places for all activities. Getting clean...doing things that will involve having to get clean again later...
I know that this was technically a drabble prompt but as I tried to write it, it kept devolving into sin. 3. Who fixes the vehicle after a breakdown? Eagerness most likely.
4. Living space has a leak! Who fixes it? Probably also Eagerness. He’s a handyman. His problem is that he THINKS he knows how to fix EVERYTHING and so if it IS something out of his league he will likely end up making it worse. Like...fixing and putting new parts in a washing machine or something. But leaks? He can fix those easy.
11. Baths or showers? Together or separate? Any bubbles or bubble fights? Bubble baths are a war for Eagerness to unwind, so he usually takes those alone, but they aren’t an everyday thing. He usually takes showers. And he would not be adverse at ALL to taking showers together with Div. If he invited Div in to take a bath with him it would definitely be an intimate thing, but not something that ends in bathtub sex, because bathtubs are for relaxing.
12. Can they stand silence? Who talks the most? Who talks the least? Eagerness is not big on silence. That doesn’t necessarily mean someone has to be talking though. He just needs some kind of sound going on while he does things. Like music playing, or the tv in the background. But he probably talks the most regardless. He is quite the chatterbox.
