I like the idea that Kitty is unlabelled with her gender and sexuality. Her disliking to be put into labels makes me feel like she wouldn’t care if people used different pronouns or who she dated

That 100% makes sense. I feel like it fits into the idea of gender and sexuality being different in Wonderland than it is in Ever After. I feel like in Wonderland, that would be something that is more socially acceptable and like normal. In Ever After, they would want her to conform to something.

Okay, question. For context, I was the old moderator for the Ever After High confessions blog that is still active (thank you to the current mod of @eah-confessions for taking over while I am not doing my best). What is your favorite response to a confession that I wrote during my time as the moderator?

It’s a random pet peeve of mine when people assume that raven apple cedar etc are all DIRECT descendants and that their parents are the first generation of each story. Like that’s just stupid. It’s so obviously established that the eah characters are generations down the line from their original stories (I saw someone say it was 17 generations but idk) and I see people be like “so isn’t raven’s mom apple’s mom’s stepmother?” LIKE NO DID YOU EVEN PAY ATTENTION 😭😭

you and me both anon. I also don't know the exact number but yeah it's very obvious that it's been a Long time since the originals. In fact the basis of the story wouldn't really work if it wasn't because the destiny system would be like. A few decades old rather than a few centuries.

id lowkey kill for the books lore to be animated. all of the hale books, all of the selfors books and even the secret diary books. ik the books relatively clash with the.canon show but sTILL it would be fckin awesome

This is so real. It'd be a dream to see at least some of them animated.

I don’t think EAH should ever be rebooted. Reboots of shows are generally received badly and I think EAH already explored a lot of storylines well enough. The only thing I’d really want is maybe a full conclusion ending on how everyone’s lives and destinies ended up. If they were “rebooted” I’d hope it’s not a whole new rebranding, and just a continuation

I do think EAH should get more SDCC dolls though, and that they should reproduce some of the original doll lines again (at least the first chapter dolls)

I don’t think anything could ever recreate the feeling of Ever After High again, nor “make it better”. A reboot would just be kind of ridiculous, to me. It’s just that like, at the same time that EAH did not deserve be canceled, I do not believe modern Mattel could do EAH justice again. You know?

i think this is a pretty common sentiment in the fandom, we've gotten one or two other confessions about it. the doll point is fair though, a lot of people love the dolls and it's possible having more out there would make it easier for those going through hell trying to get them.

In "The Unfairest of Them All", Darling is able to warp time when she blinks/flutters her eyes a certain way. She warns the other students to not look at her while she does it, but Apple does. This leads to Apple staring at Darling in slow motion, while the other students tidy up a mess in a very short time period.

I think it's mentioned that Dexter has a power of sorts, and that his glasses actually shield others from being affected. Daring also appears to have something (like enchanting damsels or something) happen when he smiles/shows his teeth.

I wish the show had explored these elements further than the occasional blinding from Daring's teeth. :(
