I like the idea that Kitty is unlabelled with her gender and sexuality. Her disliking to be put into labels makes me feel like she wouldn’t care if people used different pronouns or who she dated

That 100% makes sense. I feel like it fits into the idea of gender and sexuality being different in Wonderland than it is in Ever After. I feel like in Wonderland, that would be something that is more socially acceptable and like normal. In Ever After, they would want her to conform to something.

Okay, question. For context, I was the old moderator for the Ever After High confessions blog that is still active (thank you to the current mod of @eah-confessions for taking over while I am not doing my best). shannon hale books were peak writing n i will die on this hill. I see a lot of praise for the plot but i want to also praise the actual writing style it’s so magical and you can tell it was written with love for the story

The EAH fandom lucked out with our books, honestly. I think we'll all be forever grateful to Shannon Hale for the additional content.

i feel like ginger and raven being similar characters could've worked in their favor if they embraced it. like maybe had a bring your family member to school day episode, so raven brings her dad yet grows increasingly jealous of the close bond and support ginger gets from her mom. and the two girls have like a magic fight and wind up in detention, where they have a heart to heart. so ginger reveals that she envies raven's relationship with her father because she doesn't have one with hers, whereupon raven confesses that she'd wish her mom could be as accepting of her choosing to be good like the candy witch is of ginger. in the end, they both over being witches with controversial moms. ginger offers to bake her some enchanted cookies, raven offers to do a tarot reading, and idk maybe they even start a coven or something😱😱😱

Aaaa I love this! I'd love to see more of ginger and raven as a duo, they deserve it after the nonsense they deal with daily.

It’s a random pet peeve of mine when people assume that raven apple cedar etc are all DIRECT descendants and that their parents are the first generation of each story. Like that’s just stupid. It’s so obviously established that the eah characters are generations down the line from their original stories (I saw someone say it was 17 generations but idk) and I see people be like “so isn’t raven’s mom apple’s mom’s stepmother?” LIKE NO DID YOU EVEN PAY ATTENTION 😭😭

you and me both anon. I also don't know the exact number but yeah it's very obvious that it's been a Long time since the originals. In fact the basis of the story wouldn't really work if it wasn't because the destiny system would be like. A few decades old rather than a few centuries.

Is their a timeline that both connects the books and the series?

I'm not sure, unfortunately. I know there's definitely people making efforts to do similar things, though! I find that @athena-xox is usually a pretty good source for anything EAH.
