Time to show off some Ever After High ships I love. One of my absolute favorites is Popchess, aka Poppy O Hair and Duchess Swan. This ship is just awesome for all sorts of reasons. First of all, Duchess is actually the only character from Ever After High I can justify as lesbian. I mean, we've only seen her truly connect with another girl, that being Poppy. Also, think about this, the writers of classic fairytales came from a generation that hated the LGBTQ community, but failed to write in anything to prevent future LGBTQ supportive audiences from interpreting these stories in a way that allows for a same-sex relationship. Hints my personal headcannons about Duchess. It's implied that she can't date a guy due to her destiny from the story of Swan Lake forcing her to lose her happily ever after. But again, I don't think the writers of her story thought she'd ever date another girl. So this works, Poppy can be Duchesses happily ever after. Then there's the potential for major character development on Duchesses part. With a secure relationship with Poppy, I can see her going down a path to be a better person, with Poppy encouraging her to go down this path, supporting her all the way. Poppy would be great for Duchess, she'd be a great influence to help Duchess better herself. Plus, you have the episode where this potential pairing was introduced, Fairest on Ice, which has become one of my favorites. But also, so many scenes where these two just so happen to be together, including the episode which features Poppy for the first time.
