I think they liked it! As the sun sets on another pop-up gallery and exhibition in the disused Ladbrokes building on Lowestoft's Triangle Market, it's always nice to read the comments in the Visitors' Book. Tricia studied Printed Textiles at Glasgow School of Art where she learned about colour, painting and printmaking, almost always using the natural world as source. "Forest Heart" (cement & mixed media) by @easterlyartists member @sculptureart2021 Ally Marriner, correctly on show in our new pop-up gallery and exhibition "Letting in the Light", which runs till Sunday 18 September in Lowestoft's Triangle Market. Waveney Valley artist Ally Marriner (working under the name “AZ”) constructs sculptural and three-dimensional wall art pieces which draw upon their recognisable origins and materials – inspired by organic forms seen around us in Nature and our domestic surroundings. These practice-led investigations and an experimental approach to her work often involve the construction of a piece using reclaimed fabric, PVA glue and cement, which is then destroyed (or “deconstructed”) to form the basis of further investigations: resulting in the finished artwork.  "Letting in the Light" is open daily 10am - 5pm till Sunday 18 Sept at The Old Ladbrokes Building, 5-7 St Peter's St, Triangle Market, Lowestoft NR32 1QA.
