Treatment

Monitoring – If it does not cause much serious troubles and or, if it is growing or slowly growing your doctor might suggest only regular checkups and hearing tests to monitor the signs and symptoms

Surgery – surgery is conducted to remove the tumor to prevent hearing loss or paralysis of the facial nerve

Radiation therapy – Steoreotactic radiosurgery is a type of radiation therapy suggested by doctors to remove the tumor if it is small. This treatment is preferred more in older people.

Middle ear infection

Middle ear infection is also known as otitis media acuta which is an acute infection usually triggered by a cold. When you have cold, the virus travels to the middle ear and the mucous membrane becomes inflamed. This impairs the vibration ability of eardrums and the transmission quality of sounds.
