From left to right, we see Lieutanant General Baron Jacques (Belgium); General Armando Diaz (Italy); Marshal Ferdinand Foch (France); General John J. Pershing (USA); and Admiral Lord Earl Beatty (Great Britain). This photograph quickly became an iconic image, and also became a postcard that commemorated the dedication and the third annual American Legion Convention, also held in Kansas City at this time.
