Puppy Given by the Princess of Wales to a Ricksmanworth Family
Another of those kindly acts which have done so much to endear the Queen and Princess of Wales to the hearts of English men and women has just been performed by the Princess. While her motor-car was passing through Rickmasworth recently it ran over a little dog belonging to the children of Mr. Robert Edmunds, of the George Hotel. Soon after the Princess sent Mr. Edmunds a fox-terrier puppy, in the hope that "in course of time it may to some extent replace in your children's affections their late favourite." The picture shows the Princess's gift puppy in the arms of little Doris Edmunds.
