He could practically see Alex at home, sat on the sofa with the dogs, probably still grumbling about the state of his neck, not knowing what to say either.

So Earl decided to tell the truth.

After losing pole at Le Mans, Earl only wants his Alex. Texting him does cheer him up, but it would be better if Alex was there. And if Jack wasn't prying, because he's making it everyone's problem.

So now Earl has to deal with his teammates as well as his feelings.

I wrote this ages ago, at the end of the 2024 season, but since it's Alex's birthday I thought I'd revisit it and post it. So this is actually my first attempt at writing Earlex that I never posted.
