Domestic market weakens gradually after earlier firmness
Fumed Silica recorded another softer weekly movement in the domestic market, extending the gradual decline visible through recent sessions. Indian Fumed Silica prices for CAB-O-SIL M5 in Ahmedabad closed at Rs 584/kg on 27 May against Rs 600/kg during the previous comparison period. The correction remained measured rather than volatile, with daily fluctuations staying narrow despite weaker spot indications. Market participants continued monitoring procurement activity closely as prices drifted lower from earlier monthly levels.
Current domestic values are also below previous comparison markers. One month ago, the market traded near Rs 620/kg, while the three-month benchmark stood close to Rs 661/kg. Six-month reference levels around Rs 668/kg further underline the softer trend now visible across the domestic structure. The broader operating range during the current period extended between Rs 580/kg and Rs 692/kg. Fumed Silica prices in India therefore remain within a controlled trading band despite the continued easing visible through May.
