Repost from @runforacureghana : I don't know how Debbie of @thinkmahogany does it but she always comes up with this exceptional concepts for her designs. This is what she did for our workshop for breast cancer 🎀 survivors yesterday. I love the story behind the concept. We shall continue to support them to blossom 🌸 like the flower from the bottle. No more bottling up the pain and fear of stigma. Education, knowledge and early detection is the key. We believe it takes a team to fight breast cancer 🎀 and the work becomes easier when you have people believing in what you do. This is to say thank you to this amazing institutions, who came to support our workshop for survivors. The ladies had so much fun and it's encouraging to see them share ideas on how they are coping and surviving in this difficult times. God bless you team. We celebrate the fighters. A lot of us women have had to experience a lot of self discovery because the women before us did not really tell us what we would experience growing up from a girl child to a woman. African women don’t speak. They don’t speak about their transformation, their pain, their experiences, they bottle it all in! Dear Breast Cancer Survivor, Please Do Not Bottle It In. Stigma? Knowledge/Education? Pain? Lost Hope/No Support? All Of It!
