While his father drank and beat his mother and him ,Winn would escape to the world of science, starting small experimenting on birds and mice. eventually around 15 he moved to anesthetics and organ removal for his own personal study under the apartment complex he lived in. He often spent most nights peering at the cells with a self made microscope comprised of bolts and coke bottle bottoms, wondering what it was that made a man a killer or a wife beater, to the point that he became engrossed in the mechanics of the human physiology. Meanwhile,after remaining sociable but ambitious in public, he worked his way up in high school, graduating and starting at the prestigous Hart University, to teaching Biology as the head of the administrative lab wing. He spent his time after class picking up stray homeless and studying them. Until the world changed and the genome became putty to any man willing to mold it.
