Though this pie is normally made for Easter, my family always made it for Christmas. It’s a treat my whole family enjoyed and looked forward to every year. Nothing Italian is easy to make from scratch, their recipes can be time consuming and labor intense. Growing up, it took my mother all day to make these pies.
