Joshu's Tiger
Joshu was running from a man-eating tiger, just tearing across open planes in search of shelter. The tiger, though a long way off, was gaining on him. Joshu can smell salty spray and runs toward the ocean, mind full of seafoam. The Tiger, mind made up and focused, knows Joshu has nowhere to go and will soon be just raw meat torn apart from bone. Joshu, running toward the ocean, finds an enormous cliff, separating land and sea by hundreds of vertical feet, below, the waves crash mercilessly on the rocky bluffs. Behind him, Joshu can hear the padded tiger feet thumping closer. Joshu looks back over the cliff, and finds about a foot down, poking out of jagged rocks, a green leafy plant is thriving and holding tight to a deep red, plump and ripe srawberry.
Joshu picks the strawberry and bites into it.
It's delicious!
