Autumn. When the veil between our world and the world of the spirits wanes. Pandemonium. The Night Parade of One Hundred Demons. Sometimes an orderly procession, other times a riot. Hyakki Yagyo refers to a parade of supernatural creatures that march through the Far East.
The night of the Parade draw near and their path is set to collide with the House of the Fierce. Your help has been requested, by the office of the Doman Enclave and the State Exorcists of the Hingashi bakufu, to help guide the Parade away from the House and to the safety of the Moon Gates.
But the howls of a fox demon have been heard, barking violently in the darkness of the night. Will this be a peaceful procession? Or total pandemonium?
OOC: The Hyakki Yagyo is an adventure/action event hosted by the Aramitama Vault and the Seteikai Cooperative. During this RP, there will be a series of challenges participants have to solve to guide yokai away from the House of the Fierce and to the Moon Gates.
We are looking for Yokai Storytellers/GMs who would like to lead a short (20-30 minute) story adventure that people will interact with.
We're also looking for Onmyoji, yokai hunters, and anyone else who would like to meet us at the House of the Fierce and keep Yanxia safe during their darkest of night!

For many turns whispers have filled the ears of Hingashi citizens; rumors of violence, darkness, depravity— a secret culmination of shadowy powers that work their hands in all manners of business throughout the whole of the One Sea. WHAT IS THE MUJIHIGI?
The Mujihigi is a b-monthly underground fighting event, open to all underworld/syndicate and yakuza RPers on Balmung, including those with links to gambling and trafficking. But it is more than that. The Mujihigi is a storytelling event, a story in which is open to all who want to participate!
In this fighting den, powerful criminal organizations/families and/or those with underworld ties from around the world will pit their fighters against one another for the glory of the champion’s title (Yokozuna), the riches acquired through bets (IC gil,) and for the honor of showcasing martial prowess and strength in the name of your family.
Each Mujihigi consists of 9 fighters: Shin-Yokozuna (Current Champion) included and is preceded by ‘Hype Night.’
WHAT IS HYPE NIGHT?
Hype Night is an event preceding every Mujihigi that is more of a social gathering of aforementioned malignants where they mingle, place bets, make backroom deals and grow their influence within the organization for chances at betting on fighters for even more riches. It is a night of celebration, with performances and plenty of connections to be made.
Bets will begin on Hype Night and end as fighting starts on Fight Night!!
ARE THERE ANY PRIZES?
The person who can successfully guess the bracket results correctly (match by match, including the winner,) will receive a crafted furnishing item of their choice.
The winner of the Mujihigi will receive art from ryancaesar @ AnC to be completed on the artist’s schedule.

This event is being filmed by the Garlean Consulate of Kugane Media Board and will be screened across orchestrations around the world! Featuring some of your favorite upbeat songs of the 1570s such as “ Ain't No Castrum High Enough” and “Dancing in the Street.” Come dressed in your best work out clothes and bring your yoga mat!

Balmung : Eastern Underworld Fighting Ring looking for staff/performers/fighters! Monthly Server events
What:
Mujihigi (無慈悲技) (( Merciless Sport))
Monthly Eastern Underground Fight Event, open to all Underworld/ Syndicate/ Yazuka rpers. With gambling and links to other events and groups.
The “Public event”
Powerful criminal groups/Families and/or Underworld ties from around the world pit their fighters against one another for the glory of having a Champion under their roof/name, for the glory of riches won through betting, for the honor of showcasing the strength of your group/family. ( This allows FCs, RP groups, to name someone who is fighting on their behalf.)
Unsponsored fighters will be placed within the pool of potential fighters from the service pits (loners, thieves, outcasts, prisoners who have requested to fight for their freedom) These unsponsored fighters will have the ability to convince a group/family to buy them for the night to fight on their behalf (a second fighter to their own champion). This allows lone rpers, people who’s FC is not something that would be involved in this, or someone who wants their character to go through this to join in the fray and make connections/ rep for their character.
Currently starting with 8 fighters and one champion.
The “Private Events”
Once a month the services of ring and staff can be rented out. With invitation-only events for the use of a specific group/ house. Rather it be an accuser fighting their accused for honor/ justice, or to settle a dispute between groups/house. ( FCs/ groups/ people can have an event hosted and GM’d for their plot needs. With some pre-arranged ooc scripting to make the event work for your RP story )
When: Monthly Event with a pre Yakuza styled prehype event the week before. ( Performances, show off the fighters, auction off any no affiliated fighters ( your kidnap victims etc )
The Hype Night:
The week before fight night, there will be a hosted entertainment event,
Fighters will take the stage to be shown off, while pre-registered non sponsored fighters will get the ability to obtain a sponsor for the next weeks fight. ( people who just show up to the fight night will still be able to participate. Another call for a sponsor will be made, with the house ultimately sponsoring anyone who doesn’t get one)
Performers, meet and greets, booze, hype and backroom deals. A night where a truce is made for a single evening to enjoy one another’s company and get ready for the big fight ahead.

What we need OOC/IC:
We have tried our best to incorporate the real-life version of Waru, Yakuza blood sports and the lore of the game, while bringing in potential connections to preexisting ‘underworld events’. As such we would really like this to be a group effort and so the following is a few things we know we will need. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please let us know!
Performers for Hype night: we would like to invite a FC or Entertainment group who is interested in the underworld and Eastern flare to host this ) Obviously we will need performers
Accountants/sharks: We need a few people to work together to keep Ic and ooc tabs on all the bets placed. This will require some face to face rp with groups/ families to obtain information etc. This is best suited to someone who isn’t shy about meeting new people or being put in potentially dangerous situations.
The Doc ( and staff if needed) : Every fight ring has a crooked doctor who will fix up fighters to continue on, or even make some side deals for looking after ‘situations’. We need someone who feels their character fits the bill but also can ooc attend fight night ( we suggest having some staff on hand just in case RL comes up, and that staff can take over )
Guards: Not only will the guards be asked to watch over Hype night, and the Fight Night, but also those who are able to, will watch over our accountants as they go about their business. Assist with other people’s events where needed. Attend public functions as bodyguards and presence.
Like anything else this does have a level of dedication to it. We are hoping for at least 3 full-time guards that are wanting to be involved in the more personal aspects of the underworld rp. And a rotating pool of about 7 rpers who we get to ‘guard’ the events when they are available to do so.
Referees: We need a main ref and two assistances, two backups( in case of rl). Refs will be shown how to do the process of referring the fights which will make their ooc life easier and still allow for some RP. The Main Ref is required to remain for the completion of the event, assistance can leave once third bouts begin.
Backup refs will be asked to attend for the first 30 minutes to ensure that everything is a go. They are free to stay or go after that time.
Co-Announcer: Every good fight club has a hype man, an announcer that makes everything sound 100 times worse than it is and 1000 times more exciting! If you think your character has what it takes and you can ooc dedicate yourself to the Hype night and fight night, let us know! This co-announcer will step in if the lead announcer is not available and is welcome to add to events as they IC see fit.
Investors/ suppliers and spreading the word: Maybe you and/or your group isn’t yakuza, maybe they aren’t even technically ‘ underworld’ but you see a good opportunity for business. Perhaps through more legit paths or through selling alcohol, medical supplies, etc? Maybe you’re not a fighter or a gambler but you do have access to ‘passage documents/ sigils’ for people coming into Kugane for Fight Night. Maybe you have access to the officials. Maybe you just want to throw some cash at things and get a return on your investment. It’s in your best interest to pass along the who, what and where of these events.
Fighters: Finally we need fighters,underworld groups/ families/ clans/ people who are interested in being apart of this event. This event is not possible without -you-. Rather you are being sponsored by a group, looking to become apart of a group by earning your place with them, or maybe you are a criminal who got caught in Kugane and got given the choice of death, life in labour or fight for your freedom and you took the freedom. Or worse.. Maybe a rival group kidnapped you and has thrown you into the pits? Regardless of how you get there, we need you.
