Eastern Screech Owl. I find plenty of these owls using a good tactic, only drivers behind me tend to get mad. Oh well... pick the coldest of winter days and the sunniest to find these owls. Trees adjacent to suburban roads usually had their limbs cut in the last 100 years, therefore they tend to have the most cavities in an area of suburban land. Drive slowly, keep a list of known possible cavities and check them on bitterly cold days. These owls are sure to be sitting in the sun.
