Daily MCO Drink #429, MCO Day #431: GUNNER, made with 3 dashes Angostura Bitters, equal parts East Imperial Yuzu Lemonade and East Imperial Thai Ginger Ale, built over ice. Mmm yum. Amazing how far a few dashes of bitters can do to balance out a drink that would normally be too sweet for me. Though I have to say that the East Imperial mixers ARE amongst the least sweet ones in the market for me, and usually my go to when it comes to tonics. And yes, Angostura bitters have alcohol, but so little is used that the drink still qualifies as a mocktail lol. This is apparently quite a common drink in Hong Kong. Daily MCO Drink #426, MCO Day #428: SHIRLEY TEMPLE, made with 5ml lime juice, 5ml lemon juice, 40ml East Imperial Yuzu Tonic, 40ml ginger ale, 5ml grenadine syrup, built over ice in a glass. Arguably THE most classic of classic mocktails, there are many different version of this, some using ginger ale alone, some a mix of gingee ale and lemon-lime soda. The one ingredient that links them all is the grenadine syrup. With that in mind, I decided to make my own version, mixing fresh lime and lemon juice with Yuzu Tonic for an extra citrusy lemon-lime soda with a quinine twist.
