easy come, easy go || gil&&crys
hanging up the phone as she curses her bad luck (before quickly shaking that thought off, because there’s no such thing as luck), crys clenches her fist tightly before turning to the computer and quickly pulling up the documents that she needs. it’s the spreadsheets for the next few months worth of preplanned shipments, and a scowl works its way across her face, marring her expression. someone in the kitchens had completely and utterly mucked up, contaminating an entire weeks worth of work, causing a whole other set of delays and necessitating rechecks on their back catalog of product. she’d make sure that the details of the mistake were made clear to her at some point in the future, but at the moment her priorities were simply to clean up this utter shitfest as best she could before it got more out of hand than it already had. profits were going to tank, but their margin was so wide it isn’t anything they can’t afford by simply jacking up street prices for the next month or so. the high demand means people will pay - and the return to the original price in a month or so will likely incite a flurry of sales. though she can’t speak for the logical underpinnings of a mind addled with cocaine addiction. as long as they don’t come up late on a large shipment, she has enough faith in her dealers that they’d survive a transient shortage. luckily enough, it seemed as though for the next few weeks they only had one actual order to fill, unfortunately it was one of their most important ones, meaning she’s not willing to take any chances with giving them anything less than the best she has, and right now, she can’t be sure that the best is actually the best until it’s all checked out. gritting her teeth together and resolving to fire anyone who was involved, no matter how tangentially so, she picks up the phone once more and dials. “hello? I’d like to speak with the manager. it’s about his delivery next week.”
