Fictitious Fate
Moving slowly because the angels told me so
I tried to feel my way down the glass staircase
but the angels let me go
I visited my memories
Caged rusted and ragged
Still not too old
My pedal to the floor like my brakes didn't feel me knocking
The weather didn't seem like the weather usually does when I dream
Dreams are uncommon
My mind didn't race that night
I let my heart do the thinking
I rode my lonely soul down the road to what I thought would be
I looked at my phone and began to dial
I figured my love would answer if she loved me
My life flashed before my eyes before your lips began to speak more
I need more
God bless the Melanin in her bones
