🌾🙌🏻 The beauty of Eaton Hall 🙌🏻🌾😻😻😻 Historical Buildings On The Eaton Estate 🌞🌾🦁 —> 🙌🏻 Eaton Chapel 🙌🏻 is a private chapel to the north of Eaton Hall in Eaton Park, near the village of Eccleston, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building.

Building of the chapel commenced in 1869, soon after the estate was inherited by Hugh Grosvenor, the 3rd Marquess of Westminster, in conjunction with a major rebuilding of the hall. Grosvenor became the 1st Duke of Westminster in 1874. He appointed Alfred Waterhouse as architect and the building was completed in 1884. When the Waterhouse hall was demolished in 1963, the chapel was retained. Now the chapel continues to be the private chapel of the Grosvenor family and is used for family christenings, confirmations and memorial services.

🌾🙌🏻 The beauty of Eaton Hall 🙌🏻🌾😻😻😻 Historical Buildings On The Eaton Estate 🌞🌾🦁 —> 🙌🏻The Golden Gates🙌🏻 stand at the eastern end of Belgrave Avenue. The gates with their overthrow, the screens at their sides and the associated wing lodges are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building. The gates stand in front of what was formerly the principal entrance to the forecourt of the hall. The central pair of gates and the adjacent screen railings date from the early 18th century and are by Robert and John Davies of Croes Foel. The further side gates and screens, dating from around 1880, were designed by Alfred Waterhouse and made by Skidmore of Coventry. At the extremities is a pair of lodges, which are also dated around 1880, and by Alfred Waterhouse.

🙌🏻 The Dutch Tea House 🙌🏻

is in the grounds of Eaton Hall, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

The building was designed by the Chester architect John Douglas for the 2nd Earl Grosvenor (later the 1st Duke of Westminster) in 1872. It stands at the north end of the Dutch Garden which was designed by C. E. Mallows.

The tea house has a cruciform plan. It is a timber-framed building on a red sandstone plinth with a red tiled roof that rises with a concave profile to a point. On the apex is a large lead finial with a small weather vane. At the front is a verandah, the tearoom is in the centre and to the left, and the kitchen is on the right. The wooden posts supporting the verandah are carved, and above these is a pargetted frieze. A flight of six steps leads down to the Dutch Garden.

🙌🏻 Eaton Hall Cottages 🙌🏻

are a group of 4 grade II listed cottages 30 entres north of the Coach House Court on the Eaton Hall Estate, acncestral seat and family home of the Duke of Westminster.

The Cottages were built in the 1870’s for 1st Duke of Westminster probably by Alfred Waterhouse. Built with stone-dressed brick (lower storey), oak framing (upper storeys and gables) with red tile roofs and ornate red brick chimneys. There are two- bay cottages; No. 1 has 3 storeys, Nos. 2 to 4 two storeys. They have stone-dressed windows with shaped reveals and mullions and patterned leaded glazing and projecting gabled porches with sandstone plinths, turned posts and arched trusses to Nos. 1-3, front and left have bracketed pentice porches, right, to No. 4. and oak 9-panel front doors with top panels glazed.

🙌🏻 The Stud Lodge 🙌🏻 is a building in the grounds of Eaton Hall, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Stud Lodge was built in 1881–82 as a store shed and domestic offices for the 1st Duke of Westminster on his estate at Eaton Hall and designed by the Chester architect John Douglas. It is built in two storeys in red brick with some timber framing and has a red tile roof. The wing of the building to the right has a circular lower storey in brick over which, supported by corbels, is an octagonal timber framed upper storey, surmounted by a spire that includes a small dormer. To the left is a wing, entirely in brick, with a polygonal apse-like end, multiple windows in the upper storey, and a finial on the apex of its roof.

🙌🏻 The Parrot House 🙌🏻

situated in Eaton Park in the garden east of the hall at the north end of Broad Walk. It was designed in the early 1800’s, by Alfred Waterhouse for Hugh Lupus Grosvenor 1st Duke of Westminster. Built with yellow terracotta and designed in the form of a circular colonnaded Ionic temple with shallow domed roof. With a flight of 7 steps leading up to the colnnade, a frieze of swags above the colonnade and concentric balustrades above the colonnade and the inner drum. Flight of 11 steps to south entrance, a projecting heating chamber to north.

Interior: 4 semi-circular niches in central chamber and one on each side of lobby to heating chamber. Frieze of griffins below clerestory; caryatids between clerestory windows carry the dome. The Parrot House was incorporated in Detmar Blow’s redesign of the east garden (1911) as the north terminal of the main cross axis.

stands in the corner of the churchyard of St Mary’s Church in the village of Eccleston, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. The cottage was built in 1870 for the 3rd Marquess of Westminster, (Hugh Lupus Grosvenor 1st Duke of Westminster) and designed by the Chester architect John Douglas. It is constructed in brown brick with stone dressings and a red tile roof. The roof is steep and has gables at each end; the gables are timber-framed and tile-hung. The cottage has 1½ storeys and two bays. The surviving original windows have stone mullions. The timber-framed gable is described as being “plain and simple” with “an unusually high proportion of white plaster to dark timber”.
