I know we usually talk about how Rhett says the most beautiful and important additions to the Rhink lore but can we take a moment to appreciate Link’s words and how effortless he articulates his feelings and thoughts about the experiences he shared with Rhett in the past?

I’m watching the 40 year friendship Ear Biscuits and I’m so amazed at Link’s ability to express himself. Recalling what he felt during the first week of college and moving into a dorm room with Rhett being “scared shitless but feeling that they both had each other”. I mean??? How fucking beautiful and profound.

And for some levels, I think that Link is the one out of the two who really takes these things to heart, more sentimental if I may say. In a way that he likes keeping physical things that symbolize their friendship, remembers much miniscule detail about settings, and other aspects that I think Rhett can sometimes not care that deeply about or appreciate, for a lack of better terms.

The amount of times I have to pause to get through this podcast. Phew. This is a literal gift to all of us, an almost 2 hour podcast. God Bless 'Murica.

Last post before I head to sleep.

I was certain that Rhett would at least be teary-eyed at any point in the podcast. But after watching, it's obvious how Link's the one who was one push away from crying. In his words, perhaps it is tears of joy. I do believe his eyes got watery during or after talking about the letter/email he sent Rhett.

Glad their relationship is as strong as ever.

I feel like I need to scream it on top of my lungs how extremely PROUD I am of Link. He really is doing a whole lotta shadow work. Props to him because it is not easy and we know of his struggles and all that.

I think it's clear to see that when compared to Rhett, Link's struggles more with emotional sensitivity and coming from a place of not making everything about him. These have been huge themes in the context of his friendship with Rhett.

To see him heal that part of him and to grow into a person who can identify, acknowledge, and work on bettering that is something else. Proud is an understatement.

You definitely see how far they've come in their relationship. I mean, as they already utter, huge thanks to therapy. The fact that it has taken them soooo long to finally get to the point where they can be that vulnerable with each other, without it being awkward or anything, is both frustrating and relieving.

Finally, FINALLY. Only 40 years later lol.
