Fun fact: my books are all set in the same universe. #LATSAEIB references a pizza place in Oregon. The town this pizza place is in is the main setting for #SOS. And characters from #SOS are mentioned in #EBABT. 😁 • Also, I actually just finished the first draft of #SOS’s cover last night. It is subject to minor tweaks and changes, but for the most part it’s done. Way ahead of schedule, too. I haven’t even done a beta call yet! My second novel has been out for a week now. I remember just a year ago I didn’t think I’d ever be a published author. The dream, one of had most of my life, seemed so out of reach. But then, in a matter of months, everything changed for me. And it’s not like it all just somehow magically fell into place. No, this is a dream that came true solely because I decided to work hard and stay motivated, no matter how I felt in the moment. So, I edited even when I was overwhelmed with feelings that the story was trash. And while I edited, I wrote more stories because I got this vision in my head of being one of those wildly successful independent authors who write full time and release multiple books every year or two. • Anyway, #EBABT has been out for a week and I’m already hearing so many amazing things! In the midst of celebrating #EBABT, let’s not forget my firstborn! #LoveandtheSeaandEverythinginBetween is an emotional YA Contemporary about a college student struggling with depression who meets the new girl. They decide to go on adventures together and accidentally get to know each other too well. Such is life. • I’m proud of how well both my boys are doing! My newest novel released a couple days ago. I got my first @gunndeancandle.co box - and love everything about it! Enjoyed some fresh baked bread for my mother’s birthday. You could say it’s been a good week! • Marketing is hard, though. Now that #EBABT is out, I live in this weird limbo as I wait to see how he’ll do. What kind of sales he’ll make. What kind of reviews he’ll receive. Whether or not anyone will buy him at all. Some authors have instant hits, but maybe mine is a slow burn?
