I am slightly worried we may actually lose Karen next week but trying to remain positive and hopeful that we won’t. Like, this will be HenRen’s version of Bathena’s gunshot/fire and attack. Scary, traumatizing but they will get through it. Mostly cause I can’t handle the alternative. But Hen is still a firefighter in bts which I think will be because of her realization this episode of what she would lose in leaving her 118 family and next week will be because of how she is there to help save Karen and Denny.
What do you think? How worried should we be about Karen and Denny?
That's equality...all the couples get a moment where they think the person they love might be dead. But yeah, I don't think they would kill Karen if only bc it doesn't seem like that type of show. I feel like if they ever did decide to kill someone off, we would know in advance (like they would tease it in the promos).
I wouldn't be surprised if you were right and the incident somehow gets Hen to stay at the 118. I was really shocked by how final that party felt. Like at first it felt like a congratulations party but in the end it really seemed like a going away party....
Something that really left me ??? about the ep was the whole long montage of the love story with the amnesia guy? Like. We had a whole ass wedding of core characters take less time. And why? I get what they were going for with the story but the montage was super unnecessary. At least the other calls were brief. But tbh, they had enough plot threads to have a call-free episode with no complaints (I was gonna say just do one with Maddie's first day back but honestly I would have liked a whole ep on that, could have been a good season opener for 6x01)
Totally agree and I think the idea of a call free episode would have been a good call, esp. for this episode bc
I think one of the reasons it was so ??? is because it was the finale. Like we had that montage but no scene with Chimney and Maddie talking about Jonah??? Really??? No surprise for May??? No follow up re Albert's next steps??? When was the last time they mentioned med school???

i don’t really know what to make of all the captain stuff...and it’s still early in the season so there’s a bunch of time for things to shake out
Are they dropping the chimney on his way to captain story line? has Hen ever shown interest in being captain? Is she gonna decide against being a surgeon or was this just a one off, want to see how it feels moment?
again, it’s still early so who fucking knows where it’s all going but i have concerns.
Right!!? I thought it was just me being tired of the strands (both of them at this point tk has way too much screen time that’s not used to develop anyone else really) but they bring in wlw icon Amy Acker and she’s with Owen? owEN!? Killing off Gwynn felt so unnecessary and ridiculous when there was just a million other plot points they could’ve had to get a tk Owen plane episode if need be. And Paul/marjan YOURE RIGHT WHAT HOW WAS THE TEAM NOT ALL THERE???? Not to mention judds teen son introduction and Tommy continuing to grieve after they KILLED HER HUSBAND— all these major happenings and the show isn’t giving any of them the depth and time to sink in more and it shows with the way the whole team feels so disconnected from one another’s major life events
Oh, absolutely. I also feel like Lone Star (and actually the og show too) are just hopping from one disaster to another and it's exhausting. I just wanna see some buds partaking in some shenanigans.

They were SOO cute this episode. If only it could last more than a few seconds at a time.
and yes absolutely...spending way too much time with those randos. like, the show is never gonna top the lesbians trapped in the car. it should stop trying.
