praestrom replied to your post:Clan Rikat is recruiting!
Would brand new characters be able to join, or are you looking for people who are higher level? I’ve been considering making a new character on the Ebon Hawk server so I was just curious.
Characters of any level welcome! We welcome new joins, even if people are new to Ebon Hawk. We want to spend time with our clan members IC and OOC, even if that means helping them get leveled and geared.
Clan Rikat is recruiting!
Hey everyone, Garmas and I are recruiting for our small Mando clan on Ebon Hawk, Clan Rikat. (If you can please help us by re-blogging this post!) We're looking for dedicated RPers who are interested in Mandalorian lore and RPing in a clan environment. (Knowledge of the lore and language not required, we're all going to be learning and teaching one another.)
We have a roll-based RP combat system with character sheets and are wanting to start some RP story and missions soon. We are also happy to get people outfitted with gear.
If you're interested either comment on this post, send me a note or whisper me in-game as Linca-snow or Rheeve. Thanks so much!
OKAY, GUYS.
A bunch of people should totally make a group of Sithy-fashion designers and run around fleet critiquing outfits.
"That purple clashes SO hard with her red skin!"
"His boots are SO last season."
Come on, Ebon-Hawkers. We should TOTALLY do this.
Someonepleasetalkmeoutofthisnow.
So. The Ebon Hawk is an RP-PVE server. Therefore, aside from things like the Gree event or Outlaw's Den, PVP tends to happen just in Warzones.
But sometimes, something different happens. Someone will right click their portrait and flag themselves for PVP and run around areas that other factions can be in. Like Section X. And then someone of the opposite faction will attack them! WORLD PVP YEAH!
....However, today I learned this is apparently a reportable offense, to go after flagged people. Granted, I really don't think anything will come of it, but seriously? Non-flagged people (who weren't being attacked) decided to report us for attacking flagged folks. Not sure if they actually did, but they said they were going to.
Hell, we even let people go if they said something like "AH! Was healing the heroic and someone in my group was flagged, I don't wanna be!" or were just like "I just wanna go to my ship!" And we certainly didn't use any exploits to get to any areas...but the amount of complaining from people that weren't even flagged, and therefore were never engaged, was insane.
I roleplay. A lot. But I also do PVE stuff a lot and occasionally some PVP content because this game has a lot to offer. Including, even on PVE servers, the ability to PVP out of warzones when flagged. Let me repeat that. WHEN FLAGGED.
(Yes. some people will be dicks and stand in AOEs or whatever to get people to unwillingly flag, and those people are assholes, but I'm not talking about that right now. Just talking about those who willingly flag themselves.)
...Oh well. I got the Dread Guard mask during all of this hullaballoo, so I really shouldn't complain too much. Now to figure out a way to get that to work on an IC basis.
More color drabbles
IV. Pink (Ralan'li)
It was a long running joke, back in her old unit, that pink was her special color. Not only the color of her body-- both skin and eyes, but in what she wore, and even in the crystal of her blaster rifle. They would good-naturedly tease her, call her girly. And she never minded. It was a show of her more feminine side, so often hidden in the field. Special forces rarely got that chance. A pity it was all hidden now. Her body covered, lekku tucked away. She was invisible now. Dead and gone according to the Republic. KIA.
V. Black (Delain)
She just laughs, when her victims tell her she has a deranged soul. Oh, she has no soul, she tells them. Just before her blade carves into their chest, their screams like music to her ears. She laughs. There is no blood, considering the cauterization of her lightsabers, but she still gets to see the insides of her victims. A surprising thing, really, the human, the twi’lek, the rodian, the chiss body. They’re all dark, almost black. And similar in many ways. She likes to see how they work-- or, more accurately, how they don’t work anymore.
My Forever Starts Tomorrow
This was actually written back in October or November, but it details Damry's big escape from months of captivity. And part of why she is so friggin' loyal to Aker and the Regiment.
Heaven denied us it’s kingdom Tell me where we've gone wrong Oh, fortitude, I do like you But I only speak when spoken to Heaven forgive, the mess I meant Temperance, why do I cast Your prudence to the wind?
The roar of the ships engines, the slight vibration of the takeoff, did nothing to calm Damry’s nerves. Though exited beyond words, the first real emotion she had felt other than a deep, dark melancholy for months, the fear leveled in the pit of her stomach was making her feel ill, dampening the thrill that came with this bid for freedom..
Unplanned, she half expected it to fail. She had not been expecting Legatt to “give” her to someone else, when their arrangement had nothing to do in her eyes with slavery, but entirely of penance for her actions. But the moment that vile, disgusting woman had touched her hair, declared her to be nothing more than a slave, who would ‘proudly’ display that despised collar to people, that was when Damry knew her debt was paid. …Even if Lord Ordeaux would not entirely agree with that assessment.
Quiet and humble, she had remained during that entire conversation, the clenching of her right fist the only thing that had hinted at her true feelings. But over the last several months, she had learned very well to hide what she was thinking, not a hint of emotions ever easily discernible. Beside, for her own safety, everything had been locked away, leaving her nothing but that melancholy. Best to docile and subdued. Tamed, even.
But the moment she was given those two hours, Damry fell into action. She could not recover everything, but she was going to bring along as much as she could. That first small crate packed away, and she had left Ordeaux’s ship. A public holoterminal was her next stop, with a call made to Captain Aker of the 1-13th Regiment to request transportation off the fleet– after all, the young Imperial officer had made known his curiosity regarding her situation, and she figured the chance to finally hear the story would be initial payment enough. With his acceptance of herself and some cargo, she made her next call.
Well, message really. With a few tricks learned from Nure, a message requesting her frozen bank accounts to be re-opened was sent to a freelance slicer acquaintance via a highly encrypted channel. The details would be taken care of once she was safe on Voss, she simply wanted him to know his services were requested and he would be heavily compensated for his trouble.
So I missed writing yesterday, but I had a good reason. Two year wedding anniversary and all. ...We cooked chicken nuggets together (using this recipe, SO GOOD) and then started on Makeb. ...yeah, we're a couple of geeks. :) I love him so much though, and am pretty much the luckiest woman ever.
I should also mention, that I am not beating myself up over missing a day of writing. I used to in the past, and would say "I missed one day, I failed, gonna give up." But not this time. I'm just going to take it in stride. And also not worry about missing Saturday's writing. I'm going to a Cardinals game, yo! But onto tonight's little tale for now!
(Also, tonight's Out of Context Comment: "We are not acting in a pornographic holofilm!")
What she never expected was the paperwork. Ever since she had taken it upon herself to take care of the final report of just one mission, more paperwork made it to her desk. Some made sense-- requisition requests for the Regiment's trip to Ilum that needed to be gone over, but there were other things that simply made no sense. Like this one, currently brought up on her datapad. Surely one of the members of the Regiment was playing a prank, and not a very funny one.
Exactly why did they need a full shipment of Gizka food to Voss...?
