An Unxepected Guest

Jerard was busy buying supplies around town for the cold trip up to Artika. They’d need to be prepared for the trek across the cold fields of tundra, especially at this time of year. The day was going well so far, until the blonde hedgehog noticed a certain pincushion.

Jerard glared at the ebony quilled hedgehog that was in New Mobotropolis. How or why he was here, he couldn’t fathom. He didn’t know that this was an alternate. In Jerard’s mind, Shadow had some nerve coming here after he promised Volt and Harmony that G.U.N. wouldn’t be a problem anymore.

He walked up to the other hedgehog and crossed his arms as he coughed to get his attention. “You mind explaining what you’re doing here in New Mobotropolis, Shadow?”

              “What!? Are y’ tellin’ me you’re one of them anti-pineapple people too? Shads, no, I trusted you!” He put a hand to his chest in mock pain. Drama queen.

Ever so gently pushes Sonic onto the bounce pad.

Well first, Sonic screams from being startled that someone is in his house, let alone touching him. Then of course he falls onto the damn bounce pad, which immediately launches him straight into the ceiling of the shower (making a nice hole). Only to fall back down, hit the side of the bounce pad, and get sprung into the wall (leaving another nice hole). With a grunt he slumps face down onto the floor and doesn’t move. He only mumbles...

“Wh..whoever... did that....... i’mma give.. you... ten seconds to run.......”

It had been about a day since Sonic had... attacked others. At least, it felt like a day. Maybe it hadn’t been quite that long... Everything was a haze to him. Honestly, he had no sense of time right now. The blue hedgehog found himself out in that field again, the spot where he had all but lost his mind on Halloween night. He didn’t remember getting there, and clearly hadn’t remembered gloves or shoes.

But he was looking for something- someone- whether he knew it consciously or not. And after wandering around for a bit, he felt the faint hint of a familiar Chaos Energy signature. Then he saw him- Shadow! The alternate he had attacked. A small gasp left him as he suddenly ran toward the dark hedgehog.

“Sh- Shadow-” his voice cracked as he reached the other, hands planting themselves firmly on his shoulders. Sonic looked Shadow over with wide eyes, ears flattening at the sight of all that blood, and the horrible gashes all over his body. “Shadow...” Saying his name seemed to be all he could do in his shocked state, his very dulled green eyes unable to meet the other’s. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so, so sorry, I’m-” He kept repeating the apologies, seemingly unable to stop. He would never forgive himself for this.

Shadow kindly kicks the woman into space.

Sonic gives a quiet, “thanks,” before promptly wrapping his arms around Shadow and nuzzling into him. He’s still groggy and just wants to be warm and cuddle.
