First and foremost, no, you know what’s really stupid? The way some of y’all act like you’re super smart but are just as dumb as the blarkes. I call anyone younger than me “baby”, “kid”, “infant”, “fetus”, “toddler”, etc. I’ve done it repeatedly. For years. I have people in my real life that I call “kid” or “toddler” that are well into their late 20s, almost 30. Y’all trying to cherry pick this one instance as an argument is fully idiotic when all I did was use the word “kid” to save myself the keystrokes and not have to type “she’s a white, straight, privileged woman that had never been exposed to this before and was fully ignorant at the time”. Being ignorant has nothing to do with age and everything to do with lack of knowledge. You can be ignorant at 40 and still mature and grow out of it. The fact that y’all are making me explain this at all is stupid in itself. 

Second...I believe that no individual gets to have a say in the way another adult conducts their life. At all. Your personal beliefs have NO PLACE in another person’s choices and possibilities. Those are your set of standards and that’s perfectly okay for you to enforce them in your life but you can not and should not intend to make other people live by those same parameters. I don’t want religious zealots to be able to tell any adult woman if she can or can not get an abortion because they think that’s murder. I don’t want conservatives to be able to tell a queer couple that they can’t marry because they believe marriage is defined as something between a man and a woman. In that same way, it is none of our business what the age difference is between two consenting adults in a romantic or sexual relationship. Barring sexual or emotional abuse, it is not your place to say shit about that because you don’t get to be a proponent of “pro-choice” attitudes about one thing and not the other. That’s fucking hypocrisy.

Anyone over the age of 18 gets to make their own decisions. That’s what being an adult is. If you start to add “buts” into that statement then you start to give bigots rope to hang you with. If people at 18 or 19 or whatever can’t choose the age of the person they date then surely they shouldn’t be allowed to know if they’re gay or trans. If they can’t choose the age of the person they date then they SURELY can’t choose the gender of the person they date. They’re “still a child” and “not mature enough” for that, right? If a woman at 19 is not old enough to pick who she falls in love with then why should we allow her to make decisions about a pregnancy without her parent’s, a man’s, or a doctor’s consent? Like...there is no room for any of these “but” situations for a plethora of reasons but the most important is...IT’S NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS WHAT OTHER ADULTS OVER THE AGE OF 18 DO. Period. End of story. Across the board. Mind your own fucking life and don’t worry about what anyone else does and that absolutely include the age of the person they date. Not your place. Not even remotely. If everyone just stayed in their fucking lane and worried about themselves instead of trying to impose on someone else’s life we’d live in a much better world.

Emily is 30. Aisha is 50. That's two GROWN ASS WOMEN doing whatever the fuck they want with their lives. Nothing creepy or weird about it. I found out about Emily bett and Aisha via lindsey morgan, a long time ago she posted a story on insta if im not mistaken of them kissing or something. Emily and colton haynes from arrow used to post couple stuff like on insta years ago and then he came out and it was pretty obvious she was his beard and it turns out they were each others beard all along

This whole “beard” conversation really rubs me the wrong way for many reasons but in this case 1) sexuality is a journey for most people. you have no idea that IF they were really dating that at the time they were really giving it an honest effort because they were still trying to figure their shit out and 2) as far as I know she’s never said “I’m a lesbian”. She could still be bi and he could’ve been identifying as “bi” at the time as well. They could’ve been legitimately dating if they were and guess what...that’s okay? I know nothing about them but y’all throwing claims that people were each other’s beards is harmful for a lot of reasons. Stop that shit.

EBR has been irl shipped with a bunch of male actors on the DC shows and when she got together with Aisha they'd love nothing more than to sweep it under the rug and ignore.
