Sans still believes it was Chara who orchestrated their deaths.

                        It didn’t help that the first flash of an alternate personality only ever surfaced whenever the kid took up the knife. They were different, and the only thing in Sans’ mind were his long forgotten notes; how someone could change in the blink of an eye like that, going from kind, loving and caring, to murdering without mercy- It was an anomaly.

                                  He didn’t believe it was Frisk. Nothing he knew of Frisk would prepare him for that. And besides, even with all his cynicism Sans still couldn’t comprehend the kind of morbid curiosity that could make a human kill for fun.

So it only made sense. There had to be a second one.

Sans didn’t actually meet Chara in the hall. But he believed it was them, facing him down for that final fight.

And he H A T E D them.
