Gonna be on an overnighter in the kalamazoo area this weekend for work.  i HAVE to convince my supervisor to take me to Bells saturday night omg !!!!!

Eccentric Day is tomorrow. For anyone who is unaware of what Eccentric Day is it's this day where people go to Bell's Brewery's Eccentric Cafe and the only real requirement to get in other than be 21 is to wear whatever you would wear if you knew you wouldn't be judged.

I want to go so badly but alas I'm only 20.

This past Saturday, the entries (126) for this year's homebrew competition were judged.

Everyone was impressed with the caliber of this year's entries, noting lots of hops and experimentation, not to mention quite a few beers made with wild yeast and bacteria.

The winner will be announced this Sunday at 3 p.m. during All Stouts Day at the Eccentric Cafe.

Learn to brew and bottle at Bell’s Eccentric Cafe

Upcoming Bell’s homebrew events for the rest of 2012:

Oct. 17 - Brewing and bottling demonstration

Nov. 3 - Teach a Friend to Brew Day (time TBA)

Nov. 4 – All Stouts Day – we’ll also announce the winner of our 3rd Annual Bell’s Homebrew Competition (we open at noon, announcement will be later in the afternoon)

Dec. 12 19 - Brewing and bottling demo

They are all free to attend and generally start at 6 p.m. (except where noted) at the Eccentric Cafe in Kalamazoo.

This past Saturday, we gave away 1,030 gallons of wort to 206 homebrewers for our 3rd annual competition. Deadline for entries is Oct. 26.

The winner will be announced on All Stouts Day - Nov. 4 at the Eccentric Cafe.
