Hi Carly! How is your mom doing?

She’s doing really good! She has her second chemo session this Wednesday. After this one, she will have to shave her head. She got a really nice wig so I know that’s making it easier for her with shaving her head. So far though, no nausea, no pain, nothing. She’s just tired but that’s not really anything new. Seeing the evolution of clothing from the 1800s these past few days has been fascinating-- is it just me, or are the dresses of the 1850s more much more elaborate, modern, and frankly, beautiful than those from only a decade earlier? Is there a particular reason?

The invention of the sewing machine. I wish I could give you a more substantial answer, but that’s literally all there is to it.
