Okay, so people make fun of MCR, but a Welcome to the Black Parade is on right now, and I STILL LOVE IT AFTER ALL THESE YEARS.
2, 8, 36!
Thanks for asking!
2: Talk about your first kiss.
Well, my VERY first kiss was to french kiss a friend, though that was a dare in elementary school. We didn’t know anything about kissing. XDIf you mean a meaningful one, I haven’t had any in particular. They were kind of bad, but I’m not really a kissing person. Well, at least not on the mouth.
8: Talk about the thing you are most proud of
Hm, that’s tricky because I don’t think that I’ve done anything that is special really.
I guess I had a solo in one of the middle school concerts. I didn’t get my favorite song, but I did get a fun one. More recently, I’ve been proud of myself for working on a personal project of mine, which is a children’s book.
36: Talk about your guilty pleasures
I have so many, ha ha. Video games and art supplies are big ones. I also just love shopping in general. Also eating. I just love eating.
Someone translated the Japanese version of SMT III that had Raidou in it (instead of Dante) and I will be saving that for whenever I build my gaming computer. *v*
I like how the girls that are interested in Goblin Slayer range from cute crush to so fucking thirsty that they’ll basically go topless in front of him and he’s just so oblivious.
That tunnel vision for goblin slaying man. Personally I’m rooting for Priestess myself but I doubt he’ll fall in love with any of them.
Okay, so... I got strangely obsessed with Goblin Slayer. Like I first looked into it because of a page or two from the manga and liked the art/saw it was a medieval fantasy setting which I love. Turns out that I like it a lot! I read through all of the translated chapters of the manga and side manga, and bought the first 3 light novels that came out (you can get at B&N or Amazon in English by the way!)
And even though there IS fanservice (and definitely fandiservice), it is minimal enough for me to ignore because it actually has fun (maybe not original, but fun) characters and an interesting storyline which covers the more realistic and dark aspects of what it means to be an adventurer and to stake your life on that kind of life style. I really like the main character, because what he does is logical and realizes the importance of planning ahead and takes goblins, the weakest of monsters, seriously because you can easily mess up and cost you your life.
SLIGHT SPOILERS HERE:
It’s even more interesting when you realize that their world is basically a tabletop rpg in the making and their Gods are implied to be players.
I haven’t gotten far enough to determine how that is going to play out (as the light novels so far cover more but I’m only on book 2), I’m interested in seeing how the Gods get involved with Goblin Slayer and his party.
Today has been a strangely fun day? Which means that I definitely have not been feeling all that great the past few months (or years even), which I understand why... but even so.
I started up Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana yesterday and boy is it fun. Bummed out that I missed out on getting Adol’s old outfits (which apparently were only offered for a limited time? I can’t even buy them now). Still in Chapter 2, but it reminded me of why I have liked the series (well, at least the current games. I’m sure the older ones have great stories too but they are hard for me to play). It’s a bit late now so I shouldn’t play it on the PS4 which is in the living room, but I still have Memories of Celceta on the Vita.
Also the past hour or so, I actually drew something. It’s not much, just a character concept design for a story I’ve had in my mind the past few weeks, but even drawing something is more than I’ve managed to do in the past few months.
I feel like this is a big indicator that I haven’t been following my passions, which hopefully I can resolve in a few months. I just need to hang in there.
Okay, going to watch a playthrough of Bendy and the Ink Machine because it’s almost Halloween and I hate myself.
