“Aw yeah, Yer probably right. Someone told me it’d be a funny joke’s all!”

Knuckles really needs to stop taking Rogue’s advice, it never works.

“Pshh What’d it even look like anyway!” his voice cracks and squeaks a little, he clears his throat rocking on his heels.

“Anyway. What do ya think about me wearin’ my Treasure Huntin gear for Halloween? Too lazy?”

Knuckles nose twitches as he checks the scent of the area trying to determine where he was. Not only was the scent of the area completely foreign there seemed to be a totally different type of energy than the Chaos Energy he was used to permeating his home. He jolts at the sound of a twig snapping.

He spins around to face the Pony holding his tiny fists up ready to fight “Who’s der?! Whaddaya want?!”

Knuckles walks around looking at the area surrounding the Master Emerald temple. Considering what new traps he could set up in the area to make it more safe. He frowns when he notices he’s not alone beelining for the presence to make sure it’s not thieves.

He rushes into the clearing from the forest staring down his visitor.

“Who are ya?”

Knuckles smiles giving her a firm handshake, mindful not to put too much power into it. 

“Knuckles da Echidna, from da Knuckles Clan.”

He relaxes letting go of her hand looking at the fire enjoying the heat coming off it. His winter coat is already starting to come in, making him look softer than he usually would.

“Ya like campin? S my favorite thing, tho I guess ‘m always basically campin at da Temple” He chuckles a little.

For such a small thing his voice projects quite well.

👥 - How do Knuckles and the Phantom Ruby relate? Or do they?

Six Degrees of Seperation (or less)

Knuckles is friends (?) with Amato (The Rookie). Amato is friends with Loup (Infinite). Loup is... well not exactly friends with Ghost (the Phantom Ruby) right now but they do eventually come to an understanding.

The most shaky connection is between Knuckles and Amato really, Amato doesn’t feel important enough to be friends with Knuckles, Sonic, and Tails so they would really object to being called that. Though if we don’t want to use that shaky connection there’s a much more stable route we can take.

Knuckles is the guardian of the Master Emerald. The Master Emerald has adopted Ghost. xD

Yes the Master Emerald is sentient in my AUs so uhh She adopted the little ruby :3
