Echo took deep breaths in through her nose, trying to calm her nerves as she started to sign the wavers at the clinic. The nurse had let her know that it would be a bit of a wait, and that she was more than welcome to sit in the waiting room as they would call her back when it was time for her procedure. The girl walked over to the designated area, nodding her head and taking her cellphone out. She began to dial his number, only to have it go to voicemail. Echo let out a heavy sigh, but continued to leave a message. “Hi..it’s just me again..” She paused, steading her voice. “Listen I wanted you to know that everything is going to be okay. You don’t have to tell your parents that I’m pregnant. I’m at the clinic now and within 30 minutes to an hour, we can go back to our normal separate lives.. I’ll call you after the procedure. Bye.” Echo ended the call, then began to count in her head while closing her eyes.
