The young dragon snickered as she crept around the corner. How dare he be busy on a day like this! She crept up to him and threw shreds of colored paper at him from behind, showering him in unexpected attention. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" She cheered, maybe it was too early in the day, maybe it wasn't, either way, he had an excited little Adaline on his hands, one who was now hugging him in a rather tight hug. Benn had been up early, to get at least a little bit of work done, before the whole crew would drag him into a birthday party. He knew there would be one, because Shanks had riling up the whole crew weeks ago, what and how they would celebrate.
He hadn’t really started though when he was showered in colored confetti and a very familiar voice shouted birthday wishes to him. The next moment a happy Adaline was hugging him tightly and he could nothing but chuckled at her. Well, maybe the idea to do work was stupid anyway.
“Thank you, darling,” he said with a smile and pulled her on his lap. “There will be a party later on. Shanks is planning it since at least a week.”
