The crowd was continuing to grow thicker, the once posed bodies swaying with a bit too much drink and laughter. These sorts of events were not something Bastian enjoyed or wanted to take part in, but for the Rifters? He'd deal with it. And he was… until-

Her frame cruised around the male as if she were a sly vixen sizing up her prey. "I long to hear the cracking of knuckles colliding with bone." Her words are a wistful hymn, a begging for an animalistic craving she didn't simply share with anyone. "Plus, I've heard whisperings throughout our quaint village that one of the fighters was familiar with Daisy." A there it was, the underlying reason she wanted to head to the underground arena.

Sawyer erupted into his dwelling as if her moniker was sprawled across the lease in her perfected signature. "Oh, so you are in town." Her tone was curt, a heeled foot knocking back to kick the door shut. Arms cross over the sapphire robe she's wrapped in, chocolate hues narrowing at the male. "You can't call me back? Answer a text? Did you lose your voice? Break some fingers?" Her words are venomous lashes. "Can't even give me the courtesy of a cancellation message?" He'd bailed on their training, not once, but twice, without a peep.

"I'm not going to pretend to understand what you're suffering. But if you don't want to talk? Fine. You don't want to fight? Fine… But you are going to channel those emotions into something." Uncurling her arms, her digits sink to untie the rope, shimming it off her shoulders to reveal pristine lingerie cupping her frame perfectly. "So use me. Take whatever you're feeling out on me. "Well, well, well, if it isn't the big bad wolf, of the Rift Riders." The words slipped past cherry-frosted lips like strawberry icing, sugary with a tangy bite. With effortless grace, Sawyer sank into the booth across from the man, leaning back against the wall as her legs lifted to rest along the vinyl seat. "What happened? You huff and puff and scared all your little piggies away?" A kittenish simper is offered up as her hand extends to allow a manicured finger to skim the rim of her glass, having set it on the table the moment she approached.

They'd traversed a bit outta town to reach the pier side fair. The air was loaded with the satisfying aroma of fried delicacies and the honeyed kiss of funnel cakes. It was a nostalgic reminder of the times they'd spent at carnivals back on the island they would frequent over the blistering summers of their youth. It felt like the proper place to begin building back a relationship that he'd shattered. (One of many, but baby steps were in order.)

"Alright, Hermanito, where do ya' wanna start? Coasters? Fucking bumper cars? Or that spinning wheel of death." A large arm extended to envelop lazily around Dario's shoulder as they trekked along the boardwalk. Waves rose against the shore, the warm breeze picking up droplets of saltwater to cool the sun's heated beam. "I'd say we wait for grub until afterward.
