Hello mods! I was looking through the banned series and noticed 'Gotham'. Does this extend to all incarnations of Batman characters, or just their Gotham incarnations?

hello there!!! though gotham is banned, other incarnations of batman characters are not banned - though some of them are on thin ice. applications for dc characters are mostly going to be accepted or rejected on a case by case basis. as always, we ask you to use your best judgement when it comes to this. if i may though, as a batman fan myself, i’m very excited to see some beloved dc characters join echsat!

would you mods be open to editing the blog to make it more accessible as well? i know an ask was sent about the docs before, but the blog itself is hard to read because of the small font and colors ;;

hi there!! so sorry about that. accessibility is a priority for us all, so we’ve edited the blog so that the font is bigger and the colours are easier on the eye! let us know if there’s anything else.

hey!! sorry to come in here out of nowhere, but i was looking at the banned characters list and i'm planning on apping an oc, though her past CAN be kind of questionable/her behavior isn't great. i'd like to know if there are any specific themes in characters that are hard banned? particularly for villains! tysm! :D

hi!! we’re so glad you’re considering bringing over your OC to echsat lost! echsat, at its core, IS a mfrp with horror themes, we expect some dubious characters to enter it and encourage it. villains are definitely allowed in echsat. however, please be aware we do not tolerate any kind of abusive themes or eugenics. if a character’s story is deemed too heavy for our mod team to allow in good conscience, we might reach out to you and ask you to change some things on your app. if a character is unfit for the server, we will contact you directly to explain why. we ask you to use your best judgement before applying. we are absolutely thrilled by your interest however, and we can’t wait to read what you’ve got planned for us. :>

hi! i know that reserves and apps are a ways off but i was wondering a few things: will reserves and apps open at the same time or reserves first? with the idea that reserves opening first, i know there is a member cap in place, and should launch go very successfully what happens for those of us that want to bring in an OC as our only muse(s) but have been preemptively locked out? thanks!

hey there! first of all thank you so much for your interest in echsat lost! after discussing amongst the mod team, we have decided reserves for OCs will be opening as of the first inbox run, meaning you will be able to send in your reserve as you would for any other character. given that we operate on a reserve first basis, whether you reserve an OC or a canon character won’t make a difference. hope this answers your question!

would it be okay to write futaba sakura here? she’s 15 in canon, but could be played as 16!! i hope it fits in with your rules, just wanted to check

hello! yes, you’re more than welcome to write her here, as she ages to be sixteen over the course of the game she comes from. though even if she didn’t, you would be permitted to age her up to be a maximum of two years older. hope this clears things up for you!

Hello! A question! Would Shirazumi Lio from Kara no Kyoukai/The Garden of Sinners be allowed, provided I removed a certain uncomfy and unnecessary scene from his canon? (I don't want to describe it here bc it's heavy, but I can be contacted on Twitter @falsegrailwar if you'd like to discuss more in-depth!)

we completely understand this problem, having dealt with it several times ourselves in our roleplay experiences. this is absolutely allowed, so long as you properly indicate it on your application, when the time comes. (you don’t have to describe it in detail, simply indicating that this scene is not a part of your portrayal and that you deem it unecessary is enough.)
