THE NAUSEA (collab w/ ECHTHROS)
We Are What You Made Us
Dream Disintegration
2025
I was trying to finish up something else and then tuuya happened because apparently the day is wasted if there’s not a vampire in it.
cloudbattrolls dot com: it’s just a monsterfest now, no refunds
it’s them in their dress from Ballroom Blitz, before they and it became full of holes. the dress is the real victim since it can’t regenerate.
The timeline must be cleansed. By whatever means necessary.
sometimes I think of Ascendant Pawns, and how it could be cleaned up into something that wasn’t a total mess. I never would, but it’s interesting to think about.
I would give Echthros a much cooler humanoid design, though. I never explained her well in context, but it would help if she didn’t just look like some wanker wearing a blindfold given she’s supposed to be an other-dimensional horror.
skills/patience involved with drawing details! where were you two years ago when I needed you!
Nocturna
So, it’s basically the Doctor Who season five finale crossed with the Echthros of Madeline L’Engle....kinda cool
echthros replied to your post: ,
that’s a step up from squidwardstesticles. :p
I forgot about that one!
and shhh that was a great url.
yellow, blue, brown, pink ~
I already answered blue, dear, but if you want to ask another one I'd be happy to answer.
yellow: what do you do when you’re stuck in a block? list three sources of inspiration when new ideas are scarce.
I ask for prompts. Some of the most fun stuff I've written has been based on prompts, like Sparklefingers and The Grimoire of Concupiscence, or, for less NSFW stuff, Breakfast in the Anderfels and Bond and Vow.
Friends. I ask them what they'd want to see me write, or for sources of inspiration like quotes or music.
Music. I always have music on when I'm writing, and sometimes entire stories are inspired by it. My unfinished piece, All Who Suffer, is based off of one song. Snow was, as well.
brown: what does it take for you to honestly be proud of something?
Oh god, I am an endless pessimist about my own work. Even when I get a lot of praise about something, sometimes I don't feel like it's been worthwhile. I really, really appreciate when people give me comments on my work and tell me what they like about it, because it gives me an idea what I'm doing right, regardless of how much I feel like I've done something right.
When good friends who are REALLY good authors like my stuff too, I feel very proud, or when people cross fandoms or ships to read it. That's an amazing feeling.
pink: what is the most rewarding part of being a writer, artist, etc?
Creating something. Looking back at something you did, and going "I took a blank piece of paper/word document, sat down, and poured my brain onto it. I made something where there was nothing before, and even if it isn't perfect, I made it."
