Nihath (she/he/any), an ancient Entity with a long legacy of deal-making. In many cases, each deal leads to many souls down Nihath's gullet… and, eventually, if the terms are broken or if wishes have been completely fulfilled, Nihath will have the soul of the one who made the deal in the first place as well.

Nihath
Name: Nihath
Species: Demon → Lumion
Element: Biology (manipulation of biological processes and materials)
Alignment: Rogue
Dates: Formed ~301,000 BCE, transitioned 768 BCE
Location: physical plane or external dimensions
Nihath exudes power and grace with her presence. She feels ominous, inevitable—like a force of nature, doing what she likes, heedless of any pleas or efforts to stop her. She is not unkind in demeanor, though she can easily set others on edge with a sense of intimidation, anticipation, temptation, or some combination of emotions.
She strongly believes in existing the way she is, the way she wants to, regardless of any societal norms, and this belief extends to other Entities (though not mortals). Despite her imposing presence, there is something encouraging and nurturing about her—empowering, perhaps, in the sense of instilling the thought of, "You can do whatever you want, so long as you can live with the consequences." She does not pressure, but she tempts—she opens doors and possibilities, options for pursuing desires that have not been considered before.
At the same time, there are few Entities that she truly sees as equal, perhaps only those who are close to or over her level of power or age. She has a tendency to see other Entities as "little" or endearing in some way, perhaps feeling an affection not unlike what a human would feel towards a small, cute, helpless animal.
Abilities
Lumion Abilities
Nihath has all the abilities Lumions have, including shapeshifting, soul magic, primal magic, and sourcing her power from both the collective power of Angels and through consuming souls like Demons.
Element: Biology
Nihath's element is biology, involving the manipulation of biological processes (growth, decomposition, health, disease, etc.) and materials (bone, blood, flesh, etc.). She has a particular taste for the aesthetic of blood, often having mortals conduct blood rituals in her name.
Her powers were initially weak due to their breadth, but as she accumulated more and more souls, her abilities grew comparable to younger Entities with more specific elemental magic.
Primal-Elemental Synthesis
In her first millennium, after Nihath had accumulated what she deemed to be "sufficient" power, she took to exploring her abilities further through synthesis. Before long, she achieved synthesis of her biology magic to her Darkness. After her illumination into a Lumion, she refined it into Twilight synthesis.
Darkness ⧖ Biology
Soul-Flesh Binding: Nihath can create "unkillable" Enspirited through various means (regeneration, resurrection, inability to die). Though another Entity can still separate the soul with enough effort, it generally causes far too much damage to the soul to be worth a Demon's meal or an Angel's guidance.
Vessel of Containment: Nihath can create biological vessels that can completely hide Entity signatures, allowing them to pass undetected. The Darkness synthesis makes these vessels appear completely mundane, even to other Entities' enhanced perception, so long as the Entity within does not use any of their magic. These vessels can have children, though the children are normal and not magical. The Entity can leave and return to the vessel, and it will appear asleep. However, if they try to use their magic while within the vessel, it can become progressively more damaged until it "dies."
Covenant: Nihath can link her magic to a person's blood or other biological material. With blood, this magic can persist through generations and be temporarily shared through ingestion of blood or other exchange of blood. This bond-blood can be used for various rituals and spells that borrow Nihath's power, including communicating with other members of the same blood covenant, controlling blood to use for tools and weapons, and summoning Nihath or an avatar of hers made of blood and magic.
Twilight ⧖ Biology
In addition to her previous abilities, Nihath is capable of the following:
Chimerization: Nihath is able to merge both flesh and soul to create "chimeras." Though this is reversible, it is difficult to do so safely without specialized magic like hers.
Adaptive Vessels: Nihath's magic to create vessels is enhanced, allowing her to create vessels that can shift between hiding signatures and manifesting them without damage to the vessel. These vessels can also reproduce (with the ability to change sex) and pass on supernatural traits, such as elemental magic ability, a primal disposition, or unusual visual characteristics such as eye color, hair color, and various benign mutations.
Biological Reincarnation: Nihath can transfer souls between bodies while preserving memories and personality, essentially allowing "reincarnation" without death. She often uses the ability for long-term contractors or provides them with a limited ability to do so.
Story Synopsis
Nihath is an ancient Demon, formed around 301,000 BCE and among the first to enter the physical plane alongside Urivae. Driven by an insatiable craving for power, she became notorious for consuming both corrupt and pure souls through elaborate contracts and networks of Enspirited servants. Her immense power eventually led her to claim the position of Abyssal One during the Shaping Age, where she ruled with a nurturing yet unrestrained approach that encouraged Demons to pursue their desires freely.
When Demon society established formal principles, Nihath refused to conform and was designated as rogue, leading to centuries of cat-and-mouse games with Ordained hunters. Her eventual capture in 792 BCE resulted in imprisonment within Lux, where conversations with Jhaku sparked unexpected self-reflection and growth. After Jhaku's transformation into a Lumion and subsequent departure, Nihath began to transition as well.
After her escape from Lux in 768 BCE as a newly-transformed Lumion, she secretly assisted the developing Ecliptic society while maintaining her deal-making operations. Though still rogue by designation, Nihath's philosophy evolved to encompass a belief that all Entities—regardless of alignment or faction—have the right to exist as their truest selves, making her a paradoxical figure who supports individual freedom while operating outside societal bounds.

Realized that I'd been posting stuff for these two before posting their main designs, haha! Urivae and Ilumiel, lore characters (kinda NPCs) for the Ecliptic universe.
