We're out of the ideal shrubbery removal season so this week's restoration work was scrabbling up and down the hillsides collecting seed from dutchman's breeches and hepatica to spread over the area we cleared this winter. With luck, the bloodroot seed should be ready by next workday. Our winter work is so satisfying but damn I love the spring.
