I'm so so sorry this took forever to get to, life has been kicking my ass, but I decided to go the makeup removing blurb route for this one; hope you enjoy! <3

"Baby, stop flinching, you're making it harder to get the eyeshadow off," Chris chuckled, one hand cupping your jaw while the other held a crumpled makeup wipe.

"Then tell me when you're about to wipe it, you keep surprising me!" you laughed and blindly reached to rest your fingers around his wrist. You still had the faint scent of secondhand bar smoke on your hair and the taste of a sweet drink on your tongue. Chris had already removed your heels from your aching feet, amused with the way you practically threw yourself into his arms the second you walked in the door. He had waved to the friend that dropped you off before swiftly carrying you to the bathroom. You weren't drunk, but you were sure as hell tired.

"Okay, fine, I'm switching to your other eye now," he said with a slight shake of his head, though a smile still ghosted his lips. The cold, wet cloth smeared through the colorful dusting on your eyelid and Chris folded it over before repeating the process until he was sure all the makeup was off. "Better?"

Your eyes fluttered open and you straightened your slumped posture. Tilting your head in the mirror, you inspected for any remnants of flaky mascara. Pleased, you hummed and gazed at his reflection in the mirror to find he was already looking at you fondly. "Thank you," you said softly and he bent over to press a kiss to the top of your head, ignoring the frizz in your hair.

"Anytime, my love."
