18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year? Hmmm. Celegorm, I think. I don't remember ever writing from his POV before, and it was tricky to get into his head and find a good balance that wouldn't just make him an unremitting, one-dimensional villain even at the point of Doriath. Especially in an AU where he winds up sacrificing Maglor to have his way. (Talking about Indeed the Greater here.)
