Climate change is real (2019) - anna florsdefum
Lake Urmia, Iran,
The ferries that once shuttled tourists to and from the little islets in Iran's Lake Urmia sit rusty, unable to move, on what is rapidly becoming a salt plain.
Just two decades ago, Urmia was the Middle East's biggest lake, its local economy a thriving tourist center of hotels and restaurants.
Lake Urmia's demise has been fast. It has more than halved in size -- from 5,400 square kilometers (2,085 square miles) in the 1990s to just 2,500 square kilometers (965 square miles) today -- according to the Department of Environmental Protection of West Azerbaijan, one of the Iranian provinces where the lake is located.
There are now concerns it will disappear entirely. Such problems are familiar in many parts of the Middle East -- where water is simply running out.
The region has witnessed persistent drought and temperatures so high that they are barely fit for human life. Add climate change to water mismanagement and overuse, and projections for the future of water here are grim. Some Middle Eastern countries, including Iran, Iraq and Jordan, are pumping huge amounts of water from the ground for irrigation as they seek to improve their food self-sufficiency.

Solide shampoo. Top/ Flop ?
(Version française ci-dessous) Nice to meet you !
For those who haven’t try yet, this article will give you an idea of that product ...
After hearing about it, I also wanted to use the solid shampoo, to do so I bought the "N.A.E organic solid shampoo, with olive oil".It can be found in supermarkets from 5.00 / 6.00 € il’s like to 2 bottles of shampoo of 250ml, I would say that it’s good value for money.
It applies like a liquid shampoo ... or almost. Just rub the soap on wet hair, until it lather, and rinse. It takes longer to scrub than liquid shampoo, but the results are the same. It’s recommended to do this process twice by the way, I think u can feel it yourself when u shower, whether or not two applications are needed.Personally, I have thick, curly hair, and it looks great on me. It has made my hair softer, and it leaves a pleasant sweet smell. Well, it is composed only of natural and organic component. Something to console with yourself, ‘cause it’s always better to know what is made of what we use for our body (and / or hair in this case). I use every other shampoo. At the same time, I am testing a liquid organic shampoo, I will describe it to u in a future article.
In any case, TOP! I've adopted solid shampoos and recommend it 100%. If you've tried different ones or have any questions, I'd love to discuss with u!
See you soon.
A bientôt.
Hey glitters !!
Today i'm gonna show you how to make a re-use rainbow !!🌈🌈
Your family is in a christmas...
Or better...
I CRIMAAAAH 🎉🎊🎉🎊🎊🎊
Your family is in a meeting christmas and you are a eco glitter and you dont want to throw your disposable dishes to the trash? No problem my friend i have the solution !! :D
You have to cut the edges of the disposable dishes, the form of the edges must to be like a bow
And then you have to use your paints or acrilics for paint your bow
Paint ùwú
After, you gonna take a little peace of cotton and paste (whit tape or glue) in the end of your bow
Paste whit tape in a place of your room and finally you have a re-use rainbow for decoration !!
Is optional to use the color of the real rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet) you can use every color, in my case i used pink (or a try of mix white and red) yellow and blue sky
I hope that you like it, see ya later glitters !!
I don’t know who needs to hear this,
but fighting capitalism is not figthing every shop and bussines owner excisted it’s fighting those who are overuse human labor and envoirment for the sake of profit.
Money are part of society, it’s created by human, we won’t win with it now, but we should do what we can
Small bussineses aren’t your enemy.
Plastic is their tool, it’s cheap and destroy much faster than natural materials, so you are buying more and more often, but it will stay in enviorment longer
Educate yourself
Be responsible customer:
check how products where made, was that ethical
check materials, how much plastic it contains (for clothes: 0% is best P:)
I’m sorry to tell you but ‘vegan’ leather is plastic, BUT cork leather exist
leave plastic where it belongs: in healthcare, plastic straws and syringes for those who need them
buy yourself few cotton grocery bags, carry them with you
stop be part of fast fashion, you dont need new dress every season, they made you think you do so you have to buy more
don’t throw away your plastic things for the sake of throwing them out now - it’s what they wanted you to do in the first place
cheap items are MADE for last short so you HAVE to buy more and more, read why the item is so cheap and why the other is more expensive, got what is made fairly and prize is reasonable (but expensive not allways means good, sometimes you pay for the label brand)
if you bought cheap item you didn’t win with the captalism, you did what they wanted you to do
buy in small independent bussineses
if that possible buy food that is not packed in plastic
lidl has now those reusable bags for fruits and veggies
educate yourself how to not waste your food
cook at home more
learn how to sew and repair your clothes, how to make water syrop from furits so you dont have to buy drinks in grocery stores in PET anymore
good quality items that will last long (so you buy 1 for long time not 5 for example) and cooking at home is cheaper than you think
we can do it
In COVID times we are using so much plastic to protect ourselfs we should reduce plastic in other parts of our lives.
Why don't cigarette companies make biodegradable filters? If companies like rizla and swan have made them for rolling tobacco, why can't producers of normal cigarettes use them??
I'm planning to buy some biodegradable filters and unbleached papers for when I roll my own smokes, but it would be nice to not feel guilty when I have normal smokes too. A normal packet of smokes in convenient and in my opinion usually a nicer smoke, I just feel bad because I know even though I try to dispose of the butts properly (in an ashtray or into a waste bin) rather than just throwing them on the floor, they're still going to end up in land fill or the ocean. It's annoying.
