Meet Huhana ❤️ Huhana is currently in year 12 at Wainuiomata High School. Every Thursday she spends time with us at #kererugallerygiftsboutique in #homedalevillage as part of her work experience aiming towards a career in event management. Yesterday we twisted her arm to design her own entry in the “Upcycled Challenge” for the Eco Runway Show at @huttwinterfest this year. We thought what better way to learn about events than to actually be part of one. She designed her entry yesterday and she decided to opt for the Oceania Moana Category. Her design will be stunning - a mix of cultural heritage and modern sewing techniques blended together using waste fabrics, threads and offcuts which often ends up in landfill.
